I loved being a Brownie. Being a Girl Guide wasn't so much fun though:confused: I think it was more to do with the clique-i-ness after I moved than Guiding though:confused:

I loved Brownies, but didn't enjoy Guides either, I think it may be that a big group of just pre-teenage girls together is not generally a good thing!

Back from weigh in and I managed to maintain which is very lucky considering the week I have had! Have to be a very good girl this week though!

I had a letter waiting for me when I got home from the mortgage company to say that they are passing on the interest rate cut to us so another 80.00 pm off the repayments - double yeay! x x

Well done on the weigh in and great news on the mortgage. I was totally delighted when we got a cut before Xmas, especially as we're taking a 6m holiday while I'm on mat leave so the amount tacked onto the mortgage will be that much less

I have been SO good for the last ten days or so and am just worried that it will spiral - after lunch I'm going to lay down and listen to PM again. Not had chocolate for... I don't know how long

I want his room to be bright and warm but I dunno, it is all going wrong! Got to factor in carpet and curtains etc too I guess...

How is CD going? I am giving myself 12 weeks on PM and then might consider it myself - you guys will all be skinny minnies by then!

Don't forget furniture, pictures and everything can totally change the look of the room... We painted the baby room walls a neutral coffee colour and have used borders and curtains etc to inject colour but that's mostly because we hope to sell in a year or so after which we will decorate Bean's room to suit Bean's personality...

    aarrgghh

Just when I thought my day couldn't get any worse I've had Health and Safety come to do the pregnancy work space assessment and I've been told off for having a cluttered desk, sitting too high, screen too low, under-desk too much stored. I can't use the step-stool to retrieve files from above my head and have to ask a colleague to pull them for me and I've got to rearrange my desk! aarrgghh!!!

  • I prefer the Brownie age group to the Guides. Too many hormones! Although I did spend 2 weeks under canvas with 500 Guides last summer and that was such FUN!

yeah i agree, my new bathroom lino looked really bare and cold yesterday until i put all my crapp back in (well less of it, but still crapp).....

So don't fuss too much DD... go with your choices, i bet you will never ever ever hear Elliot say.... "mum, this green is just too green" at any point in the next 10 years!!! if he does i'll eat my hat!!!

yes Luc - i suppose losing weight will undoubtedly help the running as dragging another person around in weight terms cannot be helping my speed! i expect to see my graphs on Fetch rocket as i reach the heady speeds of ooooh 13 minutes miles!!!

Glad to hear that Erin is a Brownie.

    Coffee time.:coffee:

Athough TBH, she's not very badge minded!!

she's been there nearly a year and has only got hostess and seasons badge.... i have a chum who used to be a swimming instructor/lifeguard who is going to go thru her swimmer one soon....

must try harder, bad mum i am not helping her to badge greatness!! or maybe non pushy mum is a good thing! lol!

Erin started netball after school yesterday... she was a bit gutted as never actually played any ball... it was all theory, which makes sense of course to you or i....! but not to 7 nearly 8 year old!
