  • we don't own our house... rented housing association...

my brother is mad, he has a house from same people, admittedly he has lived there for probably 18-20 years, he is ripping out perfectly serviceable bathroom and over shower thingy and fitting new walk in shower and new bathroom fittings... IN A RENTED HOUSE!! i said to my mum, he must lie in bed thinking of things to spend his money on!

He's already fitted a new kitchen, although TBH i would like to do the same...:o

re the car insurance, i would be insured to drive any car, provided that car had it's own insurance IYSWIM.... which this one doesn't at present... i don't see how i am any more deserving than anyone, just got lucky really that this one came along when mine is playing up.... will miss my boy racer motor though!

Ah so you have a pretty secure tenancy then - my landlord seems very reliable and has told us he is not going to sell unless we move out (the pipe dream being that we eventually buy this house) and I know he bought long enough ago not to be worried by the current market, but you never know, what if his business went bust, it is a worry. We are happy to paint etc but would love more freedom. At least you know someone else won't benefit from your new carpet soon leaving you losing out!

Walk in shower  now that is extreme! My mum rents from HA so again is very secure and they put in their own kitchen and very basic bathroom but don't think they would do anything major - but then my stepdad works in the building trade so not that costly anyway.

Oh I see re insurance, of course. Thinking about it I am not sure what I did with my car. I hadn't passed my test when I bought it so my mum drove it home for me but not sure if it had insurance  nevermind :o

I mean that is was a lovely thing for Big G to do :)

I have to drive OH to Londonium and back on Monday on the M4 - am terrified of a) rush hour and b) inexperience and c) my car falling apart at high speed...
  • Thanks Pooky, we got some low blah blah non smelly stuff, it didn't seem too bad in there when OH was doing it (I changed my mind about the colour :o ) but I promise to take frequent (MSE) breaks :A

What sort of freebies do you get? :T

    Bookie, enjoy your day!
  • I am going to move mountains - when I get started.:D

Steady on Bookie - no mountain moving on a Wednesday please....you'll put me to shame.

DD - No idea about the freebies, just been told there's lots to be had, should be able to nab some memory sticks and t-shirts though (I'm lucky that my DD's buck trends and wear anything) Quite sad but I'm really, really pleased to be getting a £10 food voucher for the day too (I really should get out more)

I'm going to be industrious and empty a draw or two....it's just so exciting.

We have 2 norty Boxer dogs - Max, who is nearly 3 and Murphy who is 19 months old...

They've trained since they were both 14 weeks old, not competition stuff, but walking nicely on a lead, recall, hold/retrieve stuff; however being Boxers, it goes in one ear and out the other

It's also quite good socialisation for them, especially Murphy, who wants to play with every person and dog he meets, regardless of whether they want him to!

However, I'm shattered at the end of it, I guess it's more about training me to get it right, so they can get it right!

Not sure if it is allowed, but here are the Norties

Right, read back yesterday and caught up today.

I feel all warm and fuzzy that I was missed:o

Snags - hang in there babes - you know what you want and what you deserve. If he can treat you like that so early on it doesn't bode well... Big hugs though because it must be so hard. :grouphug:

DD - make sure you are properly better before going back to work. If you've actually lost your voice I wouldn't expect you to be back for the rest of the week:naughty:

Bunny - when did DH acquire a stalker?! Let me know if you want to send the heavies in and I'll be there!:rotfl:

Sammy - sounds like you're doing great with the food thing. Yet again I have managed to scoff my entire lunch box before 11am:o march is going to be such a rude awakening:rolleyes:

Maz - hope the CD thing works for you but please be careful with the amount of training you do ... I worry about you running by yourself on such a low calorie intake. Has the new red carpet tracked red fluff to the rest of the house yet? :rotfl:

Bookie - enjoy a free day and do something for YOU!!!

Buffy - I lasted 2 days on the special K challenge so hats off to you for sticking at it!

Lenny - hope you get the travel dilemma sorted...

Everyone else - I had wee messages for everyone but they seem to have dribbled out of my ears:confused: . Love you tho!

Well in that case I'll have another coffee!:D

First mountain moved - I'm showered and dressed!:rotfl:

Something for me Luc? can't remember when that last happened.
