BLuergh.
I am currently fighting being sick all over my desk-not sure if it's a combination of painkillers on a not very full tummy or just a sypmton of this cold? Feel quite yucky indeed.
Btw, I went to Brownies and GG. I liked Brownies but not so keen on GG-and dunnae worry Maz-I didn't go for many badges! (if any? lol)Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Go home Bunny! I had a funny tummy with my cold too.
Brownie's isn't all about badges so don't worry. We tend to do quite a lot in the meeting time now. The fall out rate when girls get to Guides is quite high - they discover other things like boys.
I was a brownie but left Guides after 6 months. Got dragged in to help for the 'odd hour' when my daughter's unit was short of help. That was 19 years ago and I'm still there! :rotfl: :rotfl: Both daughters are leaders too.
It is a great thing to do and has helped me so much. I have some great friends through it and the last 10 years would have been even worse without them.0 -
Hello all!
Cat, I hate those calls about the car, my last car had it's MOT and they just kept calling every day with something else, it ended up costing me £600. Hope yours comes out shining with nothing needing doing.
What's CD?
I'm shattered today, didn't sleep well at all, I knew I'd regret forgetting to ask for the venti starbucks to be decaff!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
It's kind of coming in waves Bookie-feel ok at the minute. Will tough it out as still don't get paid for sick days and can't afford to be without the money! EEK!
Ames-CD is Cambridge Diet. And I didnt sleep much last night either...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Hello Everyone
Must be the day for getting things done - today I've: -
Stripped bed & washed bedding, hoovered, put all the rubbish out, including stuff I'll never eat that was lurking in the freezer, been for a 2 1/2 mile walk, took some piccies (always take my camera with when I go for a walk, never know what you might see)
Now going to have something for lunch, not sure what though, cupboards a bit bare until Mr T delivery tomorrow, have got ingredients for a choocie cake, that always goes down a treat :rotfl:
I too am in rented accomodation, looking forward to buying somewhere if I can, I hope the prices drop off a bit more, which I know isn't ideal for those who have large mortgages & are at risk of negative equity
I was in the Brownies, I was a Pixiebut never made it to Guides, can't remember why though ?

Big tick by lounge now!
I've cleared the freezer too IC but didn't like to admit to throwing out food. Mostly junk stuff from before DD2 moved out.
Thinks - I hate cleaning bedrooms. Need an excuse.0 -
Bookie - mine was stuff that I bought around the time I moved here over 2 yrs ago - my thought was if I hadn't eaten it in that time I was never going to & probably shouldn't after all this time

I was in brownies briefly and guides for longer. We never really did badges.
I'm in a council flat, it's being refurbished in a couple of years, yay, I might even get proper heating. I need to start saving though cos if they rewire I'll have to redecorate. I'd love to live in a two bed place, at least then my carer wouldn't have to sleep on a futon mattress on the floor!
My flat is an absolute tip, a combination of ME and bipolar means I just can't keep up to it. My sister's helping me to completely bottom it though, it's just taking time because it's hard to find weeks when we can both go at it. It's getting there though, and hopefully when it's done I'll be able to keep up to it better.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Ames - would you not qualify for rehousing that being the case?
Also, i'm sure you'd get a grant towards redecorating...I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

hey hun! at least you have an excuse, two even!!
when i was washing woodwork and cleaning up before carpet men on monday night and after carpet men last night, i realised that i am a mucky mare!!
I couldn't remember the last time i cleaned woodwork, tiles properly or anything! it was filthy!! and yet i thought it was reasonably clean really! i do clean bath/toilet/shelves from time to time... but i suppose now i have shiny new lovely floor, it'll need mopping n stuff!!
Where does all that dusty fluff stuff come from in bathrooms?!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
