We are back from the trek to the hospital for OH's scans. The car picked us up just after 12 so we were well in time for his appointment. quite quick, he was gone about 20 minutes, then we had to sit and wait for an hour and a half for a pick up back home. I got in to find that the Infirmary had rung twice asking him to go for balance tests tomorrow at 5pm!! across to the Drs to see if we can book transport......if not I will have to ring and cancel the appointment. I sure as hell am not taking the car into town at that time of night and paying parking!!!!! its £1 an hour and we could be there ages.

So if the request goes through, we will be having supper at lunch time and lunch at supper time tomorrow.........still once the tests are done we are one step nearer to getting things resolved, a diagnosis and some sort of treatment............I hope...........

Off for a badly needed cuppa............

Diva do you have the Safety Guard trojan ? if so I cangive you some tips as I think I managed to get rid of it.

Just nipping on quick as I have a lot to do as I have to get a long list of all my jobsearch for the last month ready to take to the JC tomorrow. Having a real bad one today as not only that which I am dreading in itself as the "Hitler in a yashmak"(no offence pls) who I faced during one of my previous unemployment period and whose presence there once put me off claiming what i was entitled to for over 3 months until I could afford to hold off no longer - will probably be the one I have to see tomorrow(she talks to you like you are a piece of something she stepped in in a cowfield) I bumped into someone from my last but one job. I have been avoiding walking past even tho it is really near my house simply because I left them after being made redundant and the job I went to made me redundant after 2 weeks and I am too ashamed for them to know I am now not working. I managed to get away with telling them I was ill as they know I live local, had no makeup on and was coming out of Boots. They said my old boss had seen me the other day and was worried as I had left for a good job.

As well as all that I actually am a little ill as I have the return of a headache I get sometimes which is so bad nothing I can take gets rid of it aside if I manage to fall asleep and is so intense it makes me feel like crying so I will bbl later.

Hope everyone is ok and massive hugs to those who need it.

Hi chums ,just taking a well earned rest for 10 minutes from my essay. DD popped in just after lunch with a deliciously creamy cake that was just yelling 'eat me now' ,so we did.Naughty but nice. The weather here has got decidely grey and the fog is getting thicker, I'm glad I haven't got to be out on the road when its like this .Veggies all prepped for dinner tonight so I'd better get back to my essay on the poor Victorian domestic worker who would slave for a year for £10.00,paid out quarterly, who also had to buy their own uniforms out of their wages.

    :hello: Good afternoon!

redruby - sorry to hear the news, how frustrating  Still, I do believe the man will get his comeuppance along the line - what goes around, comes around, as they say.

Penny_Pincher - that seems so unfair, cutting your care like that! It definitely sounds worth appealing though, so good luck. And I hope you get on ok in hospital. I know you hate going in, but I'm sure it'll be comforting to know your OH will get some rest while you're there.

Csarina - Congrats on the new car! Glad your OH's scan went okay, and I hope you manage to arrange transport to the Infirmary.

hockeyDuo - Great news about your OH's promotion!

halight - sorry to hear about your job, and especially that you've had to give back the pay you got for the extra week off which, after all, you had no choice about! I wish you every success in finding eithe a new job or a suitable training course. In the meantime I know you'll enjoy being able to spend more time with the twins :j

MoneySaving Diva - Thinking of you ((((HUGS))))

Welcome to our new posters

Betheebee - Glad Ben enjoyed his birthday! Have you managed to resist starting to pack?:D

Hilstep - It's a shame to have to ask for redeployment, but I think it's the right decision for you atm, you really don't need all the stress you've been getting from the Head ((((HUGS))))

VickyA - Sorry it wasn't better news for your Mum (((HUGS))) but it's good that the problem has been picked up now rather than later.

Churchmouse, Bargain Rzl, Shez, tired mum, Stefejb

((((HUGS)))) to all who need them, there are a lot of us atm :(

Wannabe sybil - Glad to hear the boiler problem was easy to fix, and I hope you and little bear are cosy again by now!

Sorry, I know I've missed loads of people but can't remember what everyone said! :o

    Breakfast today was a banana.
    Lunch - tuna sandwich
Dinner will be lovely sausages from the butcher, spuds and the tenderstem broccoli we treated ourselves to yesterday!:D

Managed to persuade DH to put a load of his unwanted books in a charity bag the other day (I did put a lot of mine in too so I wasn't just being mean;) ), and the resulting gap in the hall bookcase is being filled with the pile of books which had been getting larger and larger, beside the fireplace:j The other day someone mentioned that they'd put a basket in their hall for hats, gloves ect. What a good idea! Ours are currently in a carrier bag, and it looks awful. I haven't got a spare basket atm, so will have a look in Wilko's or TK Maxx asap!

    All for now, best wishes,
    ivyleaf xx:wave:

reverbe - Aw honey, big (((HUGS))) to you! There's no need to feel ashamed about being made redundant! I hope your headache clears up and that the nasty person you saw last time at the JC won't be there when you go.

We have a cupboard in the hall, I put a hookon the inside and hang a srting bag on it for scarves, hats, gloves etc, so when we go in for our shoes we can pick up what we eeds, and dump them back when we put our shoes away...........works well for us.......

Have not heard from the Drs so can only assume that they have managed to fix up the transport, might ring them in a mo just to make sure, its not that I do not trust them, I don't !!! they are so incompetent it would not surppise me that they have thrown the fax in the bin!!!

OH has reitred to bed with a DD......so no supper until he gets up.....

    Afternoon Everyone

Today was hubbies first day back at work so he was a grumpy pants before he left for work at 12pm.Thankfully he's on lates so I wont have to listen to his grumping again until the morning!

I've been having a clear out of the kids outgrown clothing and was a little shocked by the amount of it there was.I would put it on freecycle or in the local charity shop but last time I did that nobody replied to the freecycle offer and the charity shops said their stockrooms were full!So I've bunged it all into recycling.Seems a shame to me as some of the clothes were in good nick but people dont seem too keen on hand me downs these days

The kids have had Chicken and Veg soup and HM bread for tea with Jelly and biscuits for pud.

I got one of the Pullman tins that DD was glowing about and have to admit they make a great loaf with a really thin crust so the kids love it!Even hubby is quite happy to eat it and he's a diehard Warburtons fan!

As hubby is on lates I get custody of the remote control so I'll be snugged up on the sofa tonight with my crocheting and probably a good movie

PP - Sorry to hear that they've cut your care allowance but I agree you should appeal you never know they might reverse their decision.Hope everything goes well in the hospital

MSD- Glad you managed to find your way back again today.I'm sure Treacle will get over the sulk in no time.

Celyn90- We have a chocolate fountain and whilst we dont use it often it comes in very handy when the kids have parties.I'm on a diet at the moment so its a no no but undoubtedly it will be put to use again as soon as I hit target
