    Hi people.

    Playing catch-up this morning.

Waggle Dancer thanks for posting the info on how to put someone on "ignore". Saved me the bother of working it out! (Long time since I've needed to do it).

Witchwoopiggy I hope today finds you feeling a little better.

WeenickieS Never been to "anxiety managament" myself - I don't think I'd ever make it to such a thing"! I did see a poster in the GP waiting room for a self-help group for people with social phobia, and I thought to myself "if I could manage to attend something like that, I wouldn't need to" iyswim. LOL

WhiteVanWoman it's lovely to hear from you; don't worry about not posting for a while, RL tends to get in the way sometimes LOL. Wishing you luck with the ESA thingy (I'm dreading the summons, too). I've bookmarked Rigg the Pig's website, and will have a good look when I haven't got Mr LW breathing down my neck wanting to do stuff!!

Dane_katie are you ok? Please check in.

Right, off to do exciting things like housework now.

    Happy Sunday, everyone.

    Hi all!
I had a really angry day last week, anger building up through every bit of my body. Maybe because I don't let it out most of the time....
Still working on finding space for myself and my needs and not feeling miserable the whole time.

Is that after a reduction process where the meds are decreased over a period of time until they are eventually stopped?

My doctor warned me about the effects of just stopping medication and how bad it could be for me which is why my doses were reduced gradually over a period of 9 months, until I eventually came off the medication.

Yes the doc warned me about just coming off the medication, it was a lesson learned by me the hard way as I just went back to the way I was before I had started medication.
I am on my fifth different kind of anti-depressant and hopefully fingers crossed these are working at the moment. I think because I am on morphine I am limited to certain types of anti-depressants.

I have been offered to go to get help with my anxiety by going and doing role playing and this fills me with anxiety itself.
I was asked this question the other day about my depression changing with what time of the year it is e.g. now its autumn going onto winter and the days being shorter and the night (dark) being longer. Does this effect anyone? I couldnt answer it as I had never thought about it.

How do you manage to cope with getting angry, how do you manage to calm yourself down?

Dealing with your problems effectively tends to have a positive effect on anger.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • United,

I think the time of year affects us all but just to varying degrees. Waking up to a sunny day just instantly makes you feel better but the endless days of rain... well...

Well, in that specific day, it actually started in a dream and lasted all day. How I managed, well, I almost never exteriorise my negative feelings, so I just buried them at work (trying not to interact with people that much) and then I was very lucky that was my therapy day, so ended up crying a lot there and saying all sort of things that I usually never say...

My anger wasn't really caused by anything specific, or a particular person, I think just general circumstances, so, I don't know, maybe it made it easier to "ignore" externally (just makes me kinda ill inside....)

True, I think some of my worst times has been when the sun is shining and everyone is off out to enjoy themselves and I have to stay in.
