  • im really sorry to read that so many of us are having a crappy time lately

ive found that my energy levels are really up and down lately, one day i can be up for nearly 24 hours doing stuff constantly, then im stuck in bed for a day or two physically unable to get up, no interest in eating, just wanting water and to sleep or lie in the dark and silence

    does anyone else get that?

i wish i knew the magic cure for us all

    I feel like that sometimes.
I have noticed since the weather has been getting a bit Autumnul that I am feeling more down.
I can't face the day and don't know what I would do if I was at work.
I am going for my CBT with a new therapist tomorrow but I didn't find the last sessions that helpful.
I struggle to set even small steps somedays and then feel really gulity because I can't do it.
I feel physically drained somedays and in alot of pain and this has a massive impact on my depression.
    It's like a vicious circle.
Hope some of you are having a better day.

Thank you, today I was able to laugh at the stupid people and I bought a red jumper that made me feel good :D (and a bag of gummy bears hehe)
LOL I'd guessed from your name that you like red. I'm more of a purple person myself - funny how we all relate to certain colours. Good to see you feeling a little better.

Awww, honey, it's just a number. I usually just kick 'em under the carpet metaphorically and forget 'em. I've got one ending in a "0" next year; now that I am NOT looking forward to. Have a good day, and when the b'day arrives, remember you're only a day older than the day before (if that made sense).

Yep, I get that the whole time. Today is very definitely a sofa day - if I didn't have the internet to keep me going I KNOW I wouldn't have got out of bed this morning!

KittyBoo (sorry, couldn't quote you as MSE only allows 3 quotes at a time) Good luck with the new therapist - hope you get better results with this one - and don't feel guilty for only taking small steps (yeah, I know that's easy to say). Are you susceptible to SAD? I find the darker evenings make it harder to cope too, so I know where you're coming from.

Take it easy folks; hoping for better days for us all.

Seasonal Affective Disorder - the theory is that the lack of sunlight as the daylight hours get shorter has a detrimental effect on mood. There's more info to be found on: http://www.sad.org.uk/
