Just popping in to say hi, my head is a mess today.
I do want to say though the support on this thread has been amazing and its good to know there is always someone to help, thank you all.
Absolutebounder why don't you start your own thread so if we want your expert advice on how to snap out of it of where to get those magic sugar pills we can come and ask you. That way we can get on with supporting each other.
Thats all I have to say so I am taking my carp brain to bed.Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -

Well hello me darlin' I didn't expect to see you on here and I know I have been remiss in not e-mailing. I will be in touch.
I have to say that there's a great crowd on here, really helpful and supportive and even the odd troll doesn't succeed in breaking up our happy band.

Welcome, CwtA, make yourself comfortable.
I hope this *checks calendar* Wednesday is being kind to friends old and new.
I'm struggling a little today - paws not co-operating, which is frustrating, but I think it's nothing I can't handle.:o It'll be better once Mr LW is home from work.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I feel for you all who are in a dark place at the moment.
I am too and it has got so bad that I have been emailing the Samaritans on a daily basis.
I am only getting through doing something to end it all by taking tranquilisers and morphine based painkillers.
I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel and spend alot of time crying.

Hello KittyBoo - I'm glad you've found the Samaritans :T. If you e-mail them and this thread you'll find there is always someone to help - even if just by listening.
Do you find the morphine based painkillers make you feel very cold? I've heard that they lower the core body temperature, but I don't know if it's this or getting the thyroxine I'm taking to the right dosage. It gets to the stage where I don't want to leave the house for fear of the cold, but I can easily get to the agoraphobic stage and that only causes more depression.
As for lights at the end of tunnels, I have opposing views on these - one - take care, it's an oncoming trainand two - if it suddenly goes out it will be some money saving expert saving on the leccy  :rotfl:.
The weather is beautiful here - glorious sunshine and for me it is the best natural mood-enhancer there is, helped along by those on prescription.
May everyone have the best possible day, with low pain and anxiety levels

Good luck with this xXMessedUpXx - they are going to arrange a gradual withdrawal of the meds aren't they, with plenty of supervision to avoid withdrawal?
I think certain posts are more a case of the mild irritation one feels from any doorstep salesperson who interrupts a conversation. Whether they be cold calling to persuade you into buying double glazing  or to join their religious cult!:rolleyes2
Anyone wanting this sort of thing will seek out the information they require, more than likely rejecting hard sell promotions that the one and only cure is NLP, or whichever fad happens to be in fashion this week.:D
I have tried complimentary therapies in the past and have found homoeopathy to be very helpful - but the registered practitioner would never dream of telling someone to abandon their prescribed medication or denigrate it by terming it a "placebo".
I must admit to having qualms about any so called 'cure' like NLP, where qualifications can be easily obtained, often by correspondence course and sometimes in just five days:eek: according to some advertisements.
That there appears to be no governing body to regulate, or control whom sets up as a practitioner is extremely worrying. Unfortunately it is easy to see it as a lucrative pseudo-profession where the exploitation of some of the most vulnerable members of society can easily occur.
More perturbing is the lack of any cohesion between the various 'expert' groups in NLP. A useful article can be found here: http://www.nlppractitioner.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=146
I also think the following quote is quite useful: "NLP has been largely ignored by conventional social science because of issues of professional credibility and insufficient empirical evidence to substantiate its models and claimed efficacy. It appears to have little impact on academic psychology, and limited impact on mainstream psychotherapy and counselling". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuro-linguistic_programming
Until NLP is researched and (if truly found beneficial) offered on the NHS by practitioners who are firstly qualified physicians (with all the necessary background police checks completed) I too will be giving it a wide berth since it seems to be yet another case where "A little learning is a dangerous thing".Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

Messedup, hope things go ok for you.
Unity I never thanked you properly for your help last week so thank you. x
Hello and hugs to everyone else.
I'm not too bad today, managed to give the hound a longer than usual walk this morning and got a friend coming in a bit to take me out for coffee and some christmas shopping.Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0
