I agree that some people have been disgustingly greedy. But I think Boots won't care who they sell it to - their prime imperative is to shift all the stock that's clogging up their stock room!

It is their duty to care when they are breaking the law. my poor disabled mother is now in bed after been knocked to the floor by these greedy people whording stock and now is affraid to go out shopping it isnt. In my estimation Boots are breaking the disability discrimation act 1995 in which it states you have to give fair access to disabled people stores have a legal obligation to protect their disabled patrons simple as. We were not afforded any fair access to goods what would hurt these companies from having a hour where disabled people registered before hand and elderly people being allowed to browse the shop without fear. Dont think people realise how many people out there are affraid to go sales shopping because of such treatment so for all those who were greedy and hostile have a little basic common decency and respect .

My order never showed as loaded on a truck after d. spa, it just showed as received at d. spa, and then the next entry was when it was received at the warehouse in the city where I live (and that didn't show on the system until around 11 at night). So just because it is showing at d.spa, it may already be on its way to your city, in which case you could still very well get it tomorrow. I'm not sure if they have these on the road on Sundays, though. I would say just check first thing in the morning so you can plan your day.

    95 posted during the week.
  • My store had been totally stripped of sale items by 4pm Wednesday, why don't they make it a bit cheaper in the first place, it sits there for months, then is all sold in one day.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Are Boots' selling practices legal??? My daughter placed 2 orders for delivery and during this time the prices were going up, coming down, going up etc., she checked out and her emails are now showing that one order will be at sale prices and the other is at the pre-christmas prices!!! She rang Customer Services and they said that the sale closed at 6pm. I, at no time, saw that the sale was closing at 6pm on the first day of the sale, even during their holding page sessions. They have told her that if she does not want to pay full price that she should refuse delivery of the order, both orders are being delivered on the same day and short of xray vision how does she know which one to refuse???

Is it legal for Boots to close their sale at 6pm and not advise the customers with current orders in their basket??

Final point! Do you think the bigger companies are getting wise to MSE, giving advance information and then changing it all to suit them. Remember the "famous" Superdrug sale??? Would appreciate any comments:confused:
  • The first thing Boots need to do is sort out their pathetic performing website before they even considering putting the sale back online. Maybe we should collectively compain as a group instead of individually, as one person can get easily fobbed off.

On the issue of bulk buying for Ebay, well I'm sort of stuck in the middle. I've got nothing against people trying to make a quick buck, but read some horror stories on here with people getting rugby tackled. Me and the missus went to 3 local Boots stores and got everything we wanted upon the store opening. There weren't too many people around and we walked around at ease picking what we both wanted.

Retailers both online and instore are never going to restrict purchases of the same item, so this will always continue.

It's like when a misprice appears on a website, most people never order one, as they know there is easy money to be made.
