  • Got my 32 IDTV at last, Pleased it arived and was worth the wait at the price we are paying for them (£720) I know i have had hassle in getting the TV (see previous threads) but really apart from Freemans lack of knoledge on expected delivery dates and cancelling of orders ETC. They have lived upto their words. Only thing left to do now is pay the remaining £200 (my credit limit) and look for a good extended warentee on the web, Anybody know of any worth considering ?

Extended warranties are a waste of money as far as I'm concerned. Although the manufacturer only give a one year warranty, you are still covered by the sale of goods act which states that goods must be of merchantable quality. You should therefore expect to receive several years of trouble free operation from a £600 TV, and if not, the sale of goods act should cover it and make the manufacturer liable.

Tell him to phone them up and ask why his 20% first time customer discount wasn't applied. Tell them that you entered the code on the website but it hasn't been taken off the bill - must have been a computer error ;) If they refuse to budge, tell them to come and collect the TV and re-order.

Try this, i think you'll find it maybe cheaper then going directly to D&G.

It's getting close. Just checked my CC online and spotted this:

    "Outstanding authorisations £480.00"

    :D

Out of interest, when you received your email order confirmation, did it say £480 or £600?
