Not sure if I have ordered it correctly as I went through the quidco link and then simply added to basket and purchased. It completed the order and I have a Order reference that has the 20% discount code against. I signed up for a new account as I was going but I have not had to put any payment details in yet!!! How does that work then?0

Had an email from the famous S.Gibbs today saying my order was in order query (for the 32 inch Sony)
THEN had a call this afternoon saying that my £880 televison (£1395 in John Lewis) was above my initial £500 credit limit as i opted for 0% interest and did i want o cancel or pay the difference by card
I paid the £380 with my debit card and have £500 on 0% interest for 50 weeks - NOW i had th emoney available so i am rang Northern Rock and paid £500 off my mortagage and will pay the remainder of my tele with 0% interest over 50 weeks AND they said it will be delivered in 3 - 5 working days AND Will call me to arrange delivery
WELL DONE FREEMANS AND THANKYOU
What a moneysaver and to the OP cheers , i owe you a beerdonstermonster0 -
Has anybody returned one of the Samsung TVs to Freemans? We are torn between this one and another make. We like the look of the Samsung but there are so many conflicting reports about it, so we thought we might order one and if we didn't like it, return it but looking at their terms and conditions, it says that TVs are excluded from their 14 day return policy.0

Hi,
Ordered the 32" Sammy on 4th Feb using 20% first time customer discount. Freemans said Amtrak will ring to arrange delivery time. I work away from home during the week and only got back yesterday to discover two cards from Amtrak stating unsuccessful delivery attempts. I've had no phone calls from either Freemans or Amtrak about delivery (and I'd pre-empted this by ensuring Freemans had passed on my mobile phone number to arrange delivery etc). Do they just expect us to be sat at home 'just in case' a delivery attempt is made?!? I don't have a car so couldn't go and collect it from the Amtrak depot.
Anyway, called Amtrak this morning and they said that "they do not call people they're delivering to to arrange delivery times, they just try and deliver the consignment when it arrives in the depot." They were going to send it back to Freemans so I had to ring Freemans and they rearranged delivery for Tuesday.
Hope this info helps someone, seems like the best thing to do is to keep on top of Freemans and to find out your estimated dispatch date. If the fist delivery attempt is unsuccesful, Amtrak will try again the next working day. Miss that and you'll have to go to the depot or rearrange through Freemans again. Rubbish really as you get home to a unsuccessful delivery from Amtrak and are supposed to be there to collect it the next day. Sure my boss wouldn't be impressed if I rang him around 7-8pm asking if I could have the day off the next day!!! :mad:0 -

See my post from Thursday, ordered the same day as you with the same discount. The only way i knew the TV was on the way because my credit card was debited, Freemans weren't aware of this, nor could offer a despatch date or consignment number. I called Amtrak, got a postcode search done, they told me it was coming on Friday and they rang me in the morning when the driver was 20minutes away. Luckily I'd managed to get my Dad to go and wait in and he took delivery. Can't fault Amtrak...Freemans seem to be about 5 years behind everybody else for back office systems though !
TV is brill though, just need to go cable shopping now :-)0 -
I ordered one of these a couple of days ago, but the order confirmation shows £599.99 and there is no sign of a discount. I've noticed that some people are saying the order confirmation shows the discount, but others are saying it doesn't show up until you are actually billed.
Can anyone confirm the actual position as regards this? I don't want to get billed for £600 quid.0 -

I ordered a 32" and was shown/charged £899.99 on my credit card. I rang them up the next day and they refunded the 20% (£180) without any fuss.
Extremely happy, just waiting for Sky HD. :j0 -
i ordered the 26" on 8/2, many problems since then, emailed and phoned a few times, their customer service seems poor, and computer systems archaic, once a day updates, i ask you!!
had order cancelled once due to being over initial credit limit of £200, so had to call and pay £280 on credit card, been assured that the order is still in place and am told new stock expected on 14/3, won't hold my breath tho, but at the end of the day its still a real bargain, at least £120 cheaper than anywhere else i've seen.
