Hi Dark one i was told no matter how i paid i would or anyone would only get 20% of the 1st £200.00 so i feel it would be a waste of time m8 but ide love to hear if anyone whoes order is being sorted now gets it with the 20% of the £899.00 and acctually gets the tv in there hands and at the price they are hoping for. Ive been told it wont happen, but then again ive been told that much cxxp from freemans in the last 3 weeks i wouldnt let anything they do surprise me :rolleyes:0

daz I wouldn’t believe anything they say, it’s the same with most companies, you call up and a different person tells you a different story each time. I ordered from their site, their site automatically entered the 20% discount for new customers (which I have subsequently taken a screenschot of in case I need it to fight my case) I’ve done nothing wrong except to take advantage of their offer. There is nothing in their terms and conditions stating that orders have to be a certain amount and the 20% off is only off the first £200, I dare them to try and charge me £859 or £899 when I have my e-mail stating that with the legitimate discount I should be paying £720! :rotfl:0

I've just put in a order for the 32" sammy and have a confirmation email saying the cost is £720 just like the*dark*one. So fingers crossed it goes through ok.
We should be in a strong position as we really haven't done anything wrong and there is nothing their T&C stating that I shouldn't pay £720.
I can quite understand orders that used the 25% should be cancelled as the code was IMO 'misused'.0 -
parrymike/the*dark*one, did you got through quidco to get the extra 5% off. I did and it as showing as £60 cashback tracked. i don't know if this means that the order has gone through or not, but when i used the 25% code a couple of weeks agon it didn't show in quidco at all.
dazuk, they are aware that there is a problem with their site in that it advertises 20% for everyone on their first order (no matter how they pay and no limit apart from min order £40) They are working to address this problem i.e wipe it from th site but until they do I cannot see how they cancel an order. Just pay the full amount on card and it will show the discounted amount immediatley. If you try and open a personal account they will say not enough credit for your purchase i.e max £200. They may well cancel the orders paid with credit card but you have a lot better case against them if they do. i.e lack of terms and conditons, mis-advertising.0 -
My father has ordered the 26" one but just got this mail when he ordered :
26 ins - Samsung IDTV LCD Cat No. 38C319RP
QTY: 1
Price: 599.99 Status: Delivery in 09 days
______________________________
Total: 599.99
The above address is your billing address only and may not be the address you have used for delivery purposes.
Your order is subject to status.
It said any deductions would be taken when payment taken, so is he likely to get another mail with different price?
He never entered any code as the site just said 20% off first order, didnt say had to use any code or codes.
oops edit : Forgot to ask, how long does it usually take for stuff to show on quidco, he is a first time user.0 -
gogsboy, did he pay the balance in full with credit card. That looks like the e-mail you receive when you open a personal account. i.e its not showing the 20% discount. There could be problems because it looks like they are limiting the amount of first order credit so he may not get enougth credit to purchase the TV.0

He put the order through at my house and he used a visa/debit card as he never had his credit card with him.
Think the option he used was just to pay straight away by card.0 -
If he entered a debit or credit card then he must have paid in full at time of purchase because no payment option is available when you set up a personal account.
Your e-mail is showing the full amount though. Was there a code written in the first box when he went to check out. The code is the 20% discount. Sometimes it is entered automatically other times it is not. If no code was in the box then unfortunatley he won't get his 20%.
As for Quidco mine showed up quite soon after the purchase, within a couple of hours anyway. When it does show up in Quidco it will also show the purchase price. Mine showed £1200, when the product was £1499 thus the 20% discount and the cashback was £60. Still don't know if that means my order has gone through though.0 -

Why when the website clearly says 20% off first order, at the checkout page all it said just click checkout to receive discount0 -
Just spoke with Freemans, (thanks Susan) asked her to be straight with me and to tell me if my order had been cancelled so I could look elsewhere if that was the case. She confirmrd I would recieve the goods as I had ordered it using the 20% code. I explained that I had read a lot on the internet about them dishonouring these purchases, she said they were only canceling orders using the 25% discount and confirmed I should recieve mine sometime after the 16th she also gave me an order reference number I have not received before. By the way ordered mine on or around the 26th Jan using credit card. Hope this gives some of you re newed hope out there.0
