If you put washing soda in the powder drawer and white vinegar in the fabric conditioner drawer (brown vinegar stains - I have found out ) then put on the hottest, longest wash and repeat you will, I think, find it helpful. That is if it is a normal whiff and gunk problem and not something more problematical.

This is my perfect property.
I only moved a month ago.
Moving house is too stressful.
I'd prefer to just start washing my clothes in a stream! That's obviously a joke!'I can't deny the British influence on my accent and mannerisms, but I don't know the British national anthem, I didn't weep for Princess Diana and I always cheer when Britain loses at sport. Most of my washing problems have ended up being a blockage of some kind.
My first actions are to clean out the filter and scrub out the powder draw. Works in 9 out of 10 cases; AFAIK you would be liable for any costs should either of these proves to be the cause.
Bit drastic and expensive to move home rather than clean a filter!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Sorry to jump in on this old thread!
I just though of something that may scupper my plans to deduct the cost of a repair from next months rent. I am a postgraduate and so I had to have a guaruntor. If I paid less than the full months rent, wouldn't the letting agent just take it out of the guaruntor's account?'I can't deny the British influence on my accent and mannerisms, but I don't know the British national anthem, I didn't weep for Princess Diana and I always cheer when Britain loses at sport. I would doubt the guarantor has set up a direct debit facility. More likely that they would just write to guarantor; may not even do that.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The guarantor hasn't set up a Direct Debt, but the letting agents have their account details and the guarantor has signed a contract saying that if I don't pay the rent, then the letting agents can take money from their account to cover it.'I can't deny the British influence on my accent and mannerisms, but I don't know the British national anthem, I didn't weep for Princess Diana and I always cheer when Britain loses at sport. My girlfriend lived in a house share, the washing machine packed up, she reported it to the landlord several times, he ended up sending her a text message saying "if you sleep with me I'll get you a new machine" ..............she no longer lives there!!!!!!0

Oh my! I hope the central heating never breaks down!0 -
What if..... the Tenant goes ahead and gets the machine repaired without the Landlords authorisation, deducts the Bill from the rent and then.....the place floods due to bad workmanship ?0
