Tesco paying the price for greed?

As for the price shifting. All companies do it and all outlets do it.
Not every branch of Tesco/Sainsbury will sell every product at the same price at the same time. Some branches even stock different foods to others depending on the areas culture and purchasing habits.
All the huge price shifts reported on here are coming from Tesco, that's what I've noticed.0 -
Not sure if its just the time of year but my local Tesco was very much lacking customers at lunchtime today.I always shop this time and generally, most weeks it is much busier.
I have noticed the offers are very poor at the moment, a time when you would expect them to be doing all they can to get customers in. Most of the offers are multi purchase ones and i for one feel this is the wrong strategy, at least it is if they want to keep my custom. I want to see more big price cuts, not Tesco pizzas at £1.35 or 3 for £4, a mind boggling 5p saving, and this is by far the only one.
I have also noticed there are no extra point till spits and today i received a healthy living mailing with no extra points, just a few pence off purchases.
Considering Tesco have supposedly reduced loads of prices, there seems little to compare with Asda's deep price cuts.
Is it me or has anyone else noticed this?0 -

but then do people have less to spend this month (or specially more so this month due to the situation we're in) due to spending money at christmas0 -
Maybe Tesco have become too complacent and dont feel the need for offers anymore.
With the current financial situation you want your money to go further. Deep price cutting specials is the obvious way to go, many people dont want the 3 for offers, especially when they spend £4 to save 5p.0 -
Multibuys suck when you're single. Especially when it's the type of offer that has a totally inflated price for the single item.0

I have just checked my receipt for last week and realised the pizzas i am referring to went on offer last week at 2 for £2.50, saving 20p, this week it is the above offer. This is what we are up against and its insulting.
If they read this forum as its been alledged then they are just laughing at us.0 -
