This is a silly question but if I PM a board guide do I include a copy of the link? I've always been a bit frightened to do this before just incase I got it wrong.

You do indeed, then the BG can go straight to the thread & merge/delete it. ;)

From looking at some of the posts, it seems that people do not PM a BG, not becasue they cannot be bothered to do so, but they do not know how to do this (or that they should do this).

It all goes back to the brilliant thread by VelvetGlove HERE (see #5)

Maybe we need to think of more innovative ways of getting people to read this thread:confused:
It needs to be a prerequisite to posting a thread

theres no way to get someone to read the guidelines xxx
i generally change the title to gameover, so the bgs when they spot it move it to gameover xxxx
But not everyone goes back to posts that they have posted xxx

I put game over in my post if people say is has finished, and sometimes remember to pm a b/g but dalkirst is good at picking up on comps closed( even if not lush parcels:p:rolleyes:) and if I find a comp that is over I put game over and then pm a b/g, gosh I'm such a saint:D:D:D(sometimes)

  • Does anybody know how long it normally takes for prizes from the Cosmo forum comps to arrive. I had a wem on 13/11/08 requesting my address details, replied same day but so far have no word. Just wanted to try and find out average times before I email them :)

I often find that people will post that a comp is a duplicate or has ended and do not PM a BG (or at least do not say that they have PMd a BG)

It's the same, perhaps even more gallingly, with duplicates: people point them out, but do not say whether they have contacted a BG. One doesn't want to send a second message, perhaps to a different BG, as they have enough to do. icon7.gif
