Competitions Discussion Thread Part 9

I was thinking about the Scottish Sun student project. I only saw it for the first time yesterday, but because it's all self promoters due to the nature of the comp they're disappearing within minutes. It's a nice prize though, I wouldn't mind £1000 towards my loan, so it's a shame. If I did a post and simply told people to Google for reference codes, (I've checked there's bebo and facebook groups, a blogger and numerous forum posts all over the place) then pm'd a board guide to lock the post so the referrers don't reply. Would that be ok?0

Might be better to put it on the Referall Board, I understand that's where voting requests go.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

i know i have probably post on the wrong board, but i was just wondering if anyone is a member of other comp sites that they have won on that they can advise?? not that it will replace this 1 cos i luv it!:j0

I can advise that you post this on the 'comps discussion' board'
Other than that I do use other sites, but more often than not all the comps I have already done as they are all posted here.
And which ever site you use to 'find' the comp has no bearing on whether you will win it.
ps I have asked that this be moved to discussions.Jo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

What do you usually say when a comp asks "How did you hear about us?" Do you say MSE? :rotfl:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES

Ditto for me too - I just say mse or word of mouth - and I must say I have found some fantastic sites through mse and comping! :money:0
