Proper competition prizes are just given to you on a plate. No if's or but's or £'s.
    Whether we win or lose,
that we played at all was a winning decision. :D
    2011 wins £12,292
    2012 wins ...
Thank you to all who post on here!!!! :A

I entered a comp on the piggy site...(the little pink piglet) for a trip to Florida and was told today that I have won a trip to Europe for four, return airfares and 'luxury' accommodation all included! To get the prize I have to attend a 2 hour seminar in London this weekend to hear about time-share properties, although they kept saying that there is ABSOLUTELY NO OBLIGATION for me to buy or rent anything.
Do I run a mile? Has anyone else been brave and done it? Was it good/bad or just an ugly hard sell exercise? Would love to take OH and DDs to the sea, but would hate to give them the holiday memory from H...!
    Any comments gratefully received.

if thats what the prize would be i'd take it but they are very very very hard sellers and make out everythings fab
we had a presentation in florida and we got tickets for disney but you really have to have the no attitude and dont be even tempted

i think 3 different people tried to sell us in the end

On the subject of comps that cost, I wanted to enter the asos one here but it says you have to purchase something, I always thought there was some rule about having to give a NPN route otherwise it being deemed as gambling or something?

Can anyone clear this up for me?

The rules were changed a year or so back and promoters no longer have to offer an NPN route except in Northern Ireland.

Different subject but connected (ITMS?) I don't understand why some comps are allowed on here that require a purchase and some are removed. There was one the other day that was deleted because you had to purchase men's shaving products, yet the Lucozade, Warburtons and Galaxy ones are allowed?

I think, though don't quote me on this, is if it is under the price of max text comp allowed on board £1.50. xxx

I think that's right toniq - also the galaxy one has a npn route, the lucozade you can look at the codes without buying if you want to as they're not unique to each bottle idt - haven't seen the warburtons, but if you only need to buy a loaf, it's well under the £1.50 text limit, so that's probably why it's here :)

You also need to remember Barnabysue that the BGs don't read every thread/post so if you see something that you don't think should be here, you need to bring it to their attention as they may not have seen it - rather than assuming that they've seen them all and allowed some and disallowed others :)

    That makes sense Toniq, thanks.

I understand that the BGs can't read every post CC, it was for my own info that I was wondering as I couldn't understand why the Shaving comp was removed, Toniq's explanation would cover that.

    Thanks both x

Is it just me or has the board moved on the main menu?
