The Icesave wait is over - for the paperwork anyway!

Got in tonight and there was an envelope on the doormat, on the back it said FSCS.
Finally, at last I could put all this behind me and cash the enclosed cheque, I thought. I had returned the paperwork about 5 weeks ago and this was the result...
I nearly broke down, when opening the envelope I found just another application form to complete. "Our records indicate you hold one or more Icesave accounts...."
When will this nightmare end, I don't think I can put up with any more?0 -
the whole process has descended to a farce. It is absolutely shocking. Nothing as yet, thanks strawberrylane as we don`t feel quite so alone in this

Another let-down, sinking heart feeling when the post arrived this morning. Though as long as Kittie and Strawberrylane haven't had their fixed rate bond forms either, I won't despair. Like everyone else I have phoned and emailed. Like everyone else, found the left foot doesn't know what the right foot is doing. Can't get any sense out of anyone at FSCS.
I wonder how many staff they've got, and what they are actually doing with their time. How long does it take to put a form in an envelope and label it? I asked for mine on line 8 weeks ago. Can't help thinking that if we three and a few others had been in charge, everything would have been done and dusted efficiently long ago!0 -
:money:Wouldn't it be nice if Martin took up the cudgels for us, like he promised...
i only seemed to get anywhere (anywhere merely being receipt of the paperwork requested on Nov 12th) following an email to the Chief Exec of the FSCS.

Mine finally arrived today! About time too.0

^^ Matthew, your form was for an ISA or regular saver account wasn't it? (not a fixed term bond). Correct?0

I feel so lucky not to be in the same position, but reading the thread for interest and hoping you all have good news soon.
I'm sure Martin will (if he hasn't already), but he didn't give a date for this.

Good luck all.~cottager0 -
Strawberry lane - yes it was for an easy access ISA.0

Well, I don't know how many more times I will write the same message, but in case anybody is wondering, my form hasn't arrived yet either. BTW, it is a joint fixed account. I remember reading here somewhere on one of the threads that some joint account holders received two separate forms. Well, it would have been nice to have received one by now!0

our forms have not arrived today
I did send an e mail to LM and had a nice reponse today, saying that a form would be sent out today. So yes I am pleased at the reponse and thanks to the kind posters on this thread who posted contact details.
I could scream in frustration though!!!!!!0
