Err, not in the case of Which? Impartiality is their raison d'etre. No impartiality, no Which?

PC Pro's comments were as a result of a 15000 customer survey, but yes, they could be fiddled.

Funny I thought Which also runs a magazine which also sells advertising space.;)

Question are which right about there car reviews etc? ( inear purchased a nissan xtrail untill I read owners reviews on the net mainly on what car)

I think they state they are independant not impartial.;)

No, sorry, Which? don't do advertising, nor do they purchase the things they test in a different way from the way you or I do it. They are a subscription organisation, and if they were ever seen to be biased or bribed they would soon cease to exist. I do a lot of feedback surveys for them. eg for stuff like satisfaction with ISPs, insurers, etc.

Having said that, I'm thinking of giving up my subscription, as there are places on the Internet that give pretty good and detailed reviews of specialist items, if you know where to look. For cars, there are also sites like Honest John, which do a similar job.

I think you're muddling them up with What Car? What Camera? etc which is probably what the publishers of those magazines intend!

Pherhaps I am mate. I could of swore it used to be sold on magazine counters.
But the last time I purchased a magazine was years ago so could well be confused.

I just don't belive in impartiality anything tested or written by one person will carry a bit of personal Bias(thats why I prefer owner reviews and based on they only moan when unhappy, the more reviews the worse the product.:D )
Everyone as a preferance, but I know for a fact on the computer magazine they did have more than a bit of favourisum.;)

They do have a threatened business model. Internet retailers p!ss all over their prices and the instore service is enough to make one want to boycott the stores indefinitely.

I doubt they'll be around in the same form in 2 years.

My wife bought a new laptop last week in PC World, and we were surprised at how little choice there was, and the first two she wanted turned out to be display models only. Are they running down their stock? I asked the sales assistant whether she thought she'd be in a job in a month or two and she just looked away embarrassed.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Probably thought you were some kind of creepy pervert. Was she hot?

I don't think she would have thought that. I was with my wife and we're both in our sixties! I didn't notice whether she was hot or not, but I think the air conditioning was working OK.
