Both me and hubby received the letter, have only ever banked with Lloyds last year to open up the ISA's. We have no other accounts with them.

We transfered our ISA's from another bank. After reading all the posts about this had a look at my paper work and see that Lloyds did not receive the money until the 10 March, but it is saying that it matures on 14th Feb which is when I went and opened it.

Have just rang the bank saying that I have not had 12months fixed interest, she said I have not lost out as my other provider would have been paying interest, but I explained it was not at the 6.5% rate.

Cut a long story short she agreed with me and said that I am probably not the olny one who has brought this to their attention! and so would look into it and call me back asap.

Phone has just rang and Lloyds will be backdating ALL interest from the date that ISA was opened. Good News:) :)

Just wondered what number you'd called ? Cause I just got through to a lady saying they don't deal with ISAs on the phone and to go into the branch. (Can't stand going into that branch)

That would depend what ISA you had with them

I've been with TSB for over 30 years, and no letter!!
Me too - I suppose they feel they can take us for granted!
I suppose there is still time for a letter, but I may have a word with a local contact and see if there is anyway to get this offer without the letter.

I'd be very interested to know how you get on

Well I've grown bored of waiting for a letter, so called them up on thursday night to ask where mine and my wifes letter were. They couldn't explain, but after checking with a supervisor stated that if I went into a branch 'they should be able to sort me out'. Wondering if I can be bothered to do so now, especially with the BM offer....

Well I went into my branch this evening to see what they could do. They confirmed that my ISA was opened on the 7th Feb but that because the first deposit wasn't made until early March that would be the anniversary dat (I'll wait and see).

When I mentioned I had seen details of a new fixed ISA the chap stated that this was being gradually rolled out to all existing customers and that I should expect something within 30 days of the ISA coming to maturity. Not sure whether to believe this. Quick question - anyone who has received the offer/letter - has this been sent within 30 days of your current ISA expiring?
  • I received my letter about 1 week ago. My ISA expires on 5th March

Wasn't near home today but went to Lloyds TSB to sort out my interest. Got all sorted there and then on system and got letter which confirmed it is date of 1st deposit, not transfer.

Anyway my point is, thinking the guy would want me to sign up for another year. which I wasn't prepared to do, he told me to my surprise they are relaunching their rates on 4th feb and they should be better
