Went into our branch today to ask if OH could have this offer too, and were told "no it's by invitation only". I said that I'd heard some people were making a fuss and then being allowed it, so she reluctantly took his details and said she would look into it. I'm not hopeful though :(.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Which is exactly what most of us in the other thread had been saying, and what it stated on the application form; - "2. Your FRISA will start from the date of your first deposit which must be accompanied by a valid application form. Applications cannot be backdated."

    My highlighting.

Yes I know that Derrick. I recall that somehow you managed to get Lloyds to sort your account out, I have been not as lucky as you have been. I have been battling with them all this time because they wouldn't budge on it. To them it has been the date of opening end of until recently, but like I say i won't believe it until I see it in writing.

I have asked the FOS adjudicator to take up the issue of LTSB's 'interpretation' of the commencement of the fixed-rate term, as opposed to commencement on date of first deposit as specified in the Ts & Cs, as part of the arbitration process in respect of my complaint.

LTSB have finally (as of the end of last week) admitted their error in failing to transfer one tranche of my Cash ISA funds - I only applied in early March 2008!
  • Not everyone is getting the letter it seems. One reason is possibly because if you ticked the "no marketing box" on the application form then they are not allowed to send the offer to you as it would be classed as marketing. Not always good avoiding the junk mail.
  • Got our letters today, after ringing them last Friday. Closing date for applications is 9th Feb.

thank you last 2 posters LtM and Com Num. I wasn't going to do anything to chase this mostly due to lack of opportunity but you guys inspired me to call and request both the anniversary interest date clarification and the lack of letter while OH already got it weeks ago.

Hopefully all sorted, should get 6.5% till date transfer in took place, should receive new offer letter in next day or two and 3.5% rate will start from anniversary of first payment. Fingers crossed all goes according to plan.

    Opened early March 08
    Funds in late April 08
    6.5% till late April 09
then 3.5% from late April for 12mths.:j

Ditto, no offer of the fixed rate for my £51k plus the £3k interest.

Selected households only, not for me, says call centre "advisor".

They will be kissing my £54k goodbye shortly.

    Seriously?

if you want it try calling 0800 015 0060. I just asked nicely and they said "sure, I'll send you the forms out today".

Maybe it isnt that easy and maybe the forms won't arrive in time but it's worth a shot.

    Good luck

I have just copied my wife's form and altered where necessary and posted both together. ;)

I called the 0845 number last week, and was told anyone with the fixed rate can have the new one, and they sent me the letters out. The first person I spoke to clearly didn't know the score on it, but he transferred me to someone dealing with ISAs, and there was no problem.
