Our local Sainsburys had a special on:
Philips Genie 10 Year Energy Saver Light Bulb Bayonet Cap Fitting 11w
5 for £.50
Not quite as good a deal, but may be worth looking into for those who don't have any luck at TescoDoes remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
|Great news but I bet like most other Tesco offers it will not be offered OR they will have sold out at my Chard branch.
Unfortunatly, yesterday I bought an Edison screw bulb at Poundland, yes it cost a pound.
Does the Tesco offer cover Edison screw bulbs??0 -
Bought TEN energy saving bulbs in ROBERT DYAS yesterday for £1!
Think they are Osram - sorry don't remember.
They had run out of the higher wattage and dont think actually needed all ten ourselves but will pass on to family.

When they did the offer before, they had a great big "bin" of all the bulbs and it was a scramble to find the right sizes and styles.
I then found the same offer was on the shelf too, but everything was neatly stacked and labled for the correct ones! There was no-one there either!aandpsclare wrote: »|Great news but I bet like most other Tesco offers it will not be offered OR they will have sold out at my Chard branch.

The first post on this forum is dated 12th January and many subsequent postings are for the 12th and 13th. I didn't get my email until this morning, 14th. I have noticed before that I am usually 2 - 3 days behind everyone else. Bargains sold out etc.. Am I missing something?0

Bought some of these yesterday. The S!!!!horpe store had bulbs of 15 year, and shorter lifetimes in the offer. Wattages of 20, 11, and something like 7, both BC and ES. The original price was based on the life (£2.50, and £2.00 IIRC). As they took the 2.5% VAT cut off the pre-offer price (£12.50), then applied the discount of £12.10, the better quality bulbs come out at under 3p each, while the regular bulbs would be closer to 4p each.0
