Egg mayo in a tomato sounds nice, you can serve it with some (cold) toast. it's easy and tasty and you can prep in advanceIf you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything. - Mark TwainNappies and government ministers need to be changed frequently and for the same reason0

small salad with 2/3 garlic crostini topped with egg mayo with a sprinkling of good old cress on top (i did this for a 'retro' evening i had and it looked great and was delish)0

Does it have to be hen's eggs? Quail eggs are perfect for starters coz they are so tiny and posh. They are expensive if you compare them to other protein sources, about £2 for a half dozen I think, but you only eat one or two at a time so as a 'highlight' they are not too bad.
Either do them fried on a thinly sliced round of toasted french bread, with a bit of proscuttio/bacon and maybe charred/grilled sweet pepper or tomato, or otherwise do them hard boiled and served with little salad-y bits - cherry tomatoes in different colours/shapes, cucumber sticks, mini sweet peppers/slices of sweet pepper, a few salad leaves etc arranged nicely on a plate with a basic dressing.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -
You could do a mini kedgeree/paella type thing with rice, egg and a wee bit of fish, few prawns if you have them - I think that would make a fantastic starter0

Hello Everyone,
I'm looking for some ideas to use up some eggs! I ordered 15 with my tesco delivery over Christmas and 30 arrived (15 free with Price Match) and cannot think of what to do with them!
I would love to use them up with Omlette's but I don't like them! Like eggs any other way but in an Omlette.
Any ideas..................................
or does anyone know if I can freeze them?

Never have too many eggs!!!!
Make some egg & Bacon Quiches (you can freeze these!); make some cakes (freeze these too) and tonight for tea make chips, pepper and egg - parboil some potatoes, slice them up, slice up some peppers and bake in the oven for 15 mins. Crack as many eggs as people you're serving into the dish and put back in the oven for 30 mins.
Eat & Enjoy xMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Hi, Someone will be along soon with the freezing question, I think you freeze the yoke and white seperate.
Anyway, cakes or merangue (I know thats spelt wrong)which you can then freeze.
I don't like omelettes either btw.

Cheese souffle is divine.
How about some sort of egg custard, creme caramel? Or make a large batch of Victoria sandwich cake, to buns, sponge pudding, cake to fill with jam etc, and freeze when cooked. That's what I do if I havetoo many eggs before i go on holiday0 -
i buy 30 every 2 weeks.
egg and soliders for breakies ( the kids love it)
quiches use a few, and quiches freeze well ( so i'm told, mine never last long enough to freeze, lol)
boil some for egg sandwiches
cakes freeze well, so could batch cook some fairy cakes or a traybake.0
