    Try coating the newest eggs in Vaseline and saving them in a cool dark place. If you exclude the air, they can't go bad as quickly. Worked for me. Can then be used in cooking. Good luck

    My Gran used to keep any spare eggs in a watery solution made with isinglass (mind you, dinosaurs were roaming the earth then)

    What about pancakes? they can be frozen with greaseproof paper between them, or parceled up and sent to me, I luv them :D

    And you can make sugar free merangines......use sweetener;)

    would it be worth buying some tin foil flan cases. get them in poundland i think 8 or 10 in a pack for small ones and i think it was 5 large ones in a pack.

    or make some cakes and freeze them, rock cakes freeze very well.

    how about a fritata i think it called. a big ommettle type dish but you have cooked chopped potatoes and cheese and veg etc in it. that uses a fair few egg's.

    mardatha when I make a quiche, once it's out of the oven and cooled, I quarter it and then pop it into freezer bags or sandwich bags or any plastic containers I have spare and freeze the portions like that. That way it frees up my quiche tin.

    I don't see why a pastry-less quiche would be any different (in theory) to a Frittata, which freeze very well, apparently, though I've not tried as mine got eaten before I could freeze it.

    I do however make and successfully freeze sliced up Cheese & Lentil Loaf which has no pastry in it, so I don't think you'd have a problem freezing it in the way mentioned above

    Also, just found this :-
    Eggs whole and in the shell cannot be frozen. Eggs can and are successfully frozen
    all the time but they must be mixed. The white of the egg and yolk must be blended for proper freezing of whole eggs (yolk & white mixed).

    Take a dozen eggs and mix them up as if for scrambling and add a 1/2 tsp of salt. Pour mix into ice cube trays and freeze for a day.
    Take frozen egg cubes and place in freezer bag.
    Use two cubes (thawed) per whole egg needed.

    While this will not provide you with "sunny side up" style eggs they are excellent as scrambled/ omelets or in recipes calling for whole egg.

    Separated Yolks will freeze only when mixed and salt added, consistency is changed by freezing but not unacceptably so when using for baking etc.

    Egg whites freeze well without stirring or salt.

    :D found an ice cream tub, emptied the ice cream down the sink (it was horrible lol) and am going to scramble a doz today . Thanks everybody, yur fantastic helps !:T
