Eggs eggs and more eggs!

you might want to do the float test first.
IF they float then they are not good, if they sink then they are ok to use. If they are in the middle I would cook them thoroughly. Basically, as the egg spoils it releases more air.
Eggs should keep for a while so I wouldn't be surprised if they are still perfectly ok to use.
Make cakes, omelettes, pancakes, anything really!0 -
If you have a dog, add one to its dinner.0

I'd use them as I'd normally use eggs, I've used eggs a couple of weeks past their sell by date with no problems. I would though break each one individually into a bowl just to make sure they are OK rather than risk ruining a dish just in case there are any problems.Piglet

Don't you mean that as it spoils it absorbs more air - hence the floating when it's 'off'? I've used eggs which are at least a couple of weeks past their 'use by' date and they've been fine.0 -
Keep using them 'til they stink. An "off" egg is unmistakable. As pitlanepiglet points out though breaking them individually into a bowl or cup before adding them to the main mix is a sensible precaution.

I just got back from the shop, 4 of my 6 eggs have fairly sizeable cracks so I need to use them up or chuck them out. I have put 2 on to boil so will have boiled egg sandwiches later, what can I do with the other 2 so as not to waste them?
