hi
today i have
checked my online accounts and moved across the petrol and shopping savings
done my scratch cards 35p
washing on airer
keeping heating off as long as possible0 -
sneak in first (doh second) with mine - cost about um <1.50 for a serviing for 4-6
mince 500g or less depends on what you are buying or going to do it for
tin tomatoes
tin kidney beans
couple onions
tube tomato puree
garlic paste, fresh or dried don't really matter
pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Teaspoon of chilli power, or paprika or some fresh chilli's
value stock cube
1 pint (ish of water)
brown mince, with cinamon, garlic and then chop onions once brown and stir and let simmer, open and drain, rinse kidney beans; add - mix some more. Add in half tube tomato puree (or a whole one if you haven't a tin of tomatoes) add tin tomatoes - stir add in stock cube dissolved or not - stir some more, simmer down for about 1/2-1hour - bobs your uncle. ( I add extra chilli's for a bonus but I eat chili with everything)
Can be bulked out with lots veggies, mushrooms more onions, peppers, celery and lentils, grated carrot etc etc etc the meat bit isn't really so important as the flavour.
We often use TVP (dried soya mince) for this as no one knows really cos its so flavour some x

DOH well done fayjmck...forgot to say rinse the kidney beans or they are mingy...and possibly poisonous? Although I think someone lied to me about that ha ha!!
Good call on the veggie version - I've also made this with Adzuki and Mung beans before - *actually* rather tasty! (which I did not expect, he he!)
Oh and as all you frugal moneysavers will no doubt have guessed, anything that can be smartprice is smartprice on my recipe - and it turns out EXACTLY the same, yum!0 -

Ok now the secret ice cave has hurt my back from laughing so much - what are you lot like.
Tonight
Hung up washing in the dark outside in the laundry (must change bulb out there - but hey the nights are gettingn lighter
Fed evil children
Fed lodger person who doesnt seem evil
Had a long bath and read gardeners world (only slightly dipped)
Ordered surrogate mum some flowers as she has just had her chemo
Lodger wants brekkie at 7.15 (is he insane??) ho humjust means I will be up early
DS doing homework, so having great fun watching him squirm and do it rahter than put it off (well they were evil at tea)
Must do some work but very tired
Made chicken stock from bones from the roasty yesterday
Recycled this for tea today as well, so thus far two teas (three lunches) and now some stock - which will freeze when cold. yum
OH here at weekend so need think something nice to feed him thats cheap and in cos i am broke
Thats me I think - need rebudget as my brother is away 'south' for work - so no housekeeping not sure yet if its permanent or not. Waiting for new lodger girl to respond with my offer so that might even out.
Local flower shop offered me a part time job when I was in getting flowers - might take them up on occassional work (you never know) all good, I love working in florists - so many flowers so little time.
Told you I was obsessed xx Hugs tonight guys xTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

ta head out sand - I love the fact we all sing from the same value. low price, reduced section, song sheet.
only prob i have with recipes is that i don't measure anything - except cakes which are an evil science - and must be measured (well not pancakes, or scones but real cakes)
My arch nemesis is the bread machine, its soooooooooooooo precise no room for artistic flair. pah!
You'd never know I was actually a plantylady come scientist.............hmm well perhaps my supervisor would.
On sofa nursing sore back, hence a million posts I am invalidated (or something ) hmm invalided - its a good excuse.............Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

www.non-evil-lodgers.com (ps not a real website) - they don't get maps to secret ice caves, always put the toilet seat back down, come in - have tea 6pm and then disappear til breakfast - at 7 ish am - then they go to work all day before 8am and then come back and return to their room. I took the go home at weekend option too - so its working quite well.
Seemingly they are not all like this.
Highly recommended.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
