it is part of a free service that they offer - free safety advice and they fit smoke alarms if required.
found out some things that i didn't know - stuff like how shutting the doors before going to bed could make all the difference.
the smoke alarms that i had were not working right and were all in the wrong places
. so they fitted two for me that last 10 years
.
very pleased - good morning so far!
How about shutting the doors before the firemen escape??

Today i am very annoyed with myself for not going to college even though i should have done, so am not talking to myself right now!!
Things for today:

Now these posts motivate me, but your post andan has really made me feel motivated! I feel really lazy now seeing all the things you have put on there for today. I have been clearing out my room for days to declutter and find things to sell and i'm all raring to go when I think about it at work, but when I get home I am too lazy, so on top of my other stuff I have planned tonight, I will work harder on my room!0

Thats it for today given my head hurts!DFW 228 LONG H 68
DFD 2017 :eek:0 -
Evening all - today I have been mostly spending money to save money!
1) Storecupboard food including slow cooker dinner.
2) Spent £2 on a Per Una top for me and a lovely H&M winter coat to fit T next year from charity shop.
3) Received my Approved Food order - now have a cupboard absolutely bursting full of packed lunch goodies, pasta sauces, drinks etc for the princely sum of £22. Well pleased.:j
4) Took T to local playgroup this morning then to an indoor playbarn this afternoon. He has a season ticket for, so free entry. Had a lovely time sat on my bum reading a library book while he made friends.
5) Applied for a credit card to do a balance transfer. Will have to wait 7-10 days for an answer:eek: That sounds ominous.
6) Daily scratchcard = 10p
7) Gave away a broken microwave through freecycle - the man wants it to make a welder apparently.
Also a bag full of videos to charity shop. Not particularly money saving but helping towards uncluttering my house, and hopefully my head!
8) Investigated cheap things to do while on holiday. I booked a Sun holiday yesterday - Easter week for four nights near Lyme Regis - £38 for all four of us. It's our wedding anniversary that week too, so I'm especially pleased we managed to get that week. Plus Lyme Regis is only about an hour away for me so less money on petrol!
It is nice to have something to look forward too!
Well done everyone - keep up the good work!
