Well it sounds as though things are looking up.

I know how you feel about the family home, my mum keeps talking about selling up, and it's by far the best option for her, but it seems strange to think of other people living there.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Wol, the list sounds scary enough - you mean, in case you got flooded and had to submit an insurance claim for *that*??

And I know what you mean about the parents and the family home being an anchor, I've never really *liked* where my parents lived, so I feel an attachment to the city we come from in a big way. But that still leaves me feeling kind of rootless....and you've had so many emergencies, for such a long time. Its good to see the work situation is coming under control for you, anyway.

I'm doing good thanks, a lot of things seem to have just fallen into place lately, my sleep pattern's back to normal, I'm keeping up to housework, losing weight...

I know what you mean about keeping the babies, when I was a kid we bred hamsters a couple of times and I just wanted to keep them all!

That's really good news Ames - I'm glad things are moving forwards for you Hun :T

I had hammies while at University - lovely little chocolate brown ones - mind you the babies looked like baked beans when they're born hence why I prefer piggies as they are born eyes open, fully furred and ready to run!...oh and mum can't eat them;)

Wol, there's forecast for more rain this week  Will the banks hold a bit more?

When I read your post about your parents moving I thought they were moving to 4 doors from you......rereading it, they are staying on their same street? That will be tough for them too, to see other pepole changing their old family home. They are brave, but in this climate a buyer is not to be sniffed at is it? (even though the whole move is disturbing)

I thoroughly dislike the remote village my parents chose to move to 5 years back, and more so now there is no family nearby.

The work sounds positive - that's good. :j

Things are sounding a bit more positive where work is concerned eh, well done and keep up the positive thinking lady!!! ;):T

As for your parents move, oh my gosh it must have been a shock for you to find them moving a few doors from you and you are bound to feel a little shell shocked as you thought they had decided to keep the family home:rolleyes: but give it time to sink in and it will all work out fine im sure:cool:

Hope Grommie is feeling better, speedy sends squishy guinea hugs;)

Hope to catch up with you soon hun, take care of your self and the guineas:D

    Much love

    Piglet

    xx

    Hi Piglet -

:rotfl: :rotfl: I obviously wasn't very clear in my post :rotfl: :rotfl:

My parents are moving 4 doors down from their current house (which is many miles west of here and half way between me and thee my dear ;) !) Heaven forbid if they moved down here... ...my house would be up for sale like a shot :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Grommie says Hi to Speedy and sends randy rumblings down the internet to her :o (must be gpig equivalent of telephone sex :D )....ooops and now Iroko's telling Grommie to stay away from his girl or there'll be another nose bleed :rotfl:

Hope things are settling down for you Hun as I know yo've not been on much recently....Big hugs to you from me and all the piggies :grouphug: :grouphug:

    I shall indeed Numpty,

Wol has given me some fab advice ( particularly how to make mulled wine for christmas & test various recipes for months before hand :D )

Do the grinnypigs dance along to piano ?

Perahs Lula, perhaps!! This one looks a little bit like Fleure (if it downloads from photobucket properly - I have never really got the hand of it!!)

edit - see Numpty piccie below

And here are Grommie and Fleure inspecting the new kitchen....Fleure is the nosy one!! (Typical - Gommie is more interested in whether there's anything to eat rather than the quality of the joinery:rotfl: :rotfl: )

    edit see Numpty piccie below

Sigh - can't get the piccies to post so you'll have to follow the linkies instead - any help/advice gratefully received folks....yet again Wol fallls at the first tecchie hurdle LOL
