Thankyou, this thread has taken a long time to actually have people take an interest and I had almost given up on it. I am surprised, what with us all tightening our belts!
I love reusing things if I can and think that it is nice for other people to share ideas to spark my own creative gene!!!!Pucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0 -

Found this today whilst bloghopping, its reusable gift wrapping made from recycled material (although you could use new).

qwiksave this idea is used in Japan, I think it is, a really useful way of reusing old pieces of fabric, ribbon or lace.
I have been busy since the birth of my first Grandson, I have made the curtains for his room, his quilt is nearly finished and I am busy designing his pirate map rug! I also have another Grandson on the way and so will be kept busy for some time!

Saw a link -think it was on the 'crafty for christmas' thread on using newspaper to make a gift bag............my son bought one last year for my xmas presents.
I've got some half way decent carrier bags lurking about I could cover - might be easier than starting from scratch. Bit of cold tea or coffee sponged over them for an 'aged' look.............ohh..........could do that with little gift boxes as a practise piece..............:j
Looking in my spare room seems I've recycled so much this year........buttons and beads, material turned into little bags, re-vamped picture frames and loads more.
Found a nice stripey wollen scarf that has a bit of potential for doing something with..........not sure what though...........have to give that one some thought.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
