Ohh Mary!
Maybe other online shops stock it, even at £5 it would be cheaper than a crop-o-dile. You need some sort of hole punch, its an essential crafters piece of kit!
Sorry, that's not in the right style of mse is it, insisting you should buy stuff! :rotfl:I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
I made the record scrapbook as a valentine's present last night. I didn't want to spoil my records so made copies of them on my printer instead. I also decided to include the covers so I could decorate them in a nostalgic way too.
Details are on my blog but this is what they look like:
COVER:
Back Cover:
The records were chosen for their romantic titles, 'You're in my Heart' on the front and 'Sealed with a Kiss' on the back.
Inside I've cut out some record size card in black to put my music memories on (photos, song lyrics, embellishments):
and yes, Mary, I did use my crop-o-dile to punch holes for the book rings.
It looks so real that at a glance you wouldn't know it was a scrapbook!I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
Would it work to heat up a skewer and push it through the record to melt it? Works with tough plant troughsPucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0

qwiksave - love the record scrapbooks-now wanting to do those..................lol
I e mailed the web site about that hole puncher and payment and she replied today -I can pay be card if I phone her so might do that.............checked the site and the hole punchers still £3 and she said its always free p & p just that discounts might vary.
Today I've recycled an smallish box with slatted lid foster daughter OH gave me..............covered it with paper........looks a treat (well I think so) but seemed to take an age.........ever so fiddly. Still, done now -all I need are some tea light candles to put in it for sons birthday shoebox.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

They are both lovely, well, done xx0 -
Dizzytina - brilliant :T Clever you:j
Got back from OH's appt with 'boffin' today and seems there's still something lurking on his lung -not too sinister but just taking an age to go away -so OH is still not able to work and doesn't see boffin again for 3 months.
Anything I can re-cycle (prefereble for free) I'm looking out for especially after quick scary look at bank statement
Did have a little spend today but only some cheap packs of card from Wilkos, cheapo diary cos no-one got me one at christmas and a cheap ring back notebook to use as a gardening journal. Covered that with some floral paper as soon as we got home. Got some elastic cotton so I'm all set to do some button bracelets -saw some buttons in a charity shop and couldn't believe they were 5p each
I'd have thought they'd have been a lot cheaper so I passed on that -did get a chunky wooden beaded bracelet though -at 50p I couldn't not.
So, I'm going to be watching this thread for ideas of stuff I can do that'll be cheap as chips or preferebly free :rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
