Also go onto the Indexed Link, click on slow cooker and there are loads of recipes. HTH
Veg? Lying around? You lot just don't understand my kitchen do you? :rotfl: I have two huge potatoes for baking, three tins of carrots, three tins of peas, and two rather wrinkly tomatoes, which are fruit so don't count.
And stock...isn't that the wooden bit on the end of a gun?
Do these things have timers on so I can set it in the morning, and it will come on during the day and be ready for when I get home from work?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Here is the link to the slow cooker collection, but it is one of those wondersful bits of kit where you can pretty much make it up as you go along. I'll be happy to pop round and show you if you like.
Got your breadmaker yet
Ooh, thanks Racy, your kind offer is accepted.
I don't think I use enough bread to warrant a breadmaker. I use 3/4 rolls for work each day, and not much else. I have a loaf in the freezer and grab what I need, otherwise it just goes off.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Ya cheeky! None of your Arms tricks here mateEditing quotes indeed! :rotfl:
Set your SC on low before you go to work and it will be done when you get back, beauty of them is it doesn't really overcook. I often set mine going at 8 AM and switch it off at 8 PM... and am still aliveMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Ok, that will be good. Any chance of sorting me out with a shopping list? I don't buy veg very often, unless it's a cauliflower.
I have no herbs or spices either. Unless you count salt n pepper. And meat - I never buy that either (Christ, what do I eat? ), what do I need? Will I literally be able to throw a load of stuff in it in the morning, and come back to dinner? That'd be great. :TIf you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Well, you could either try some of the ideas from THIS or, if that looks too difficult, try THISMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Cheers Nels. Is that a big or little pack of mince? How big are the onions? How many mushrooms in a pack, and are they big or small? Mmmm...chick peas, I like those, do they sell them in shops? Is the chilli sauce the only liquid? Any herbs or spices going in there?
Or does none of that matter? I'm starting to think that these SCs are fantastic, I wish they'd hurry up and deliver mine! Does it peel the veg for you too?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
