i hadn't even looked at my credit card statement to check - they did 3 transactions for me - one for the price of the slow cooker, a second for the P&P then a third to give me the £10 discount and the P&P back.... it's all fine in that i got the right discount, but i agree that it's really weird!

If I were to get this Swan clow cooker delivered to work, do you reckon I could carry it home?

I have approx a 25/30 minute walk all in.

    Thanks

I ordered one today as my 6.5 litre one is a bit bigger than my kitchen can take, a 3.5L for £10 is worth a shot, especially as the 6.5L has a new home to go too, all ready and waiting. (Yes Dad, you can have it :p )

The discount wasn't showing for me but after I had registered I went back into my basket and started the order process again and this time all was well. Will check credit card balance later to see what has happened there.

Brilliant offer though, thanks to the OP icon10.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

My refund came two days after, given mine to a friend now, for her birthday (i've already got a 5 year old MR 3.5L)

My friend was literally gob smacked!!!!
Going round on Sunday to be experimented on!!!!

Just ordered mine...great post thanks tooz. :T

Now will someone come round and show me how to work it, and fill it up etc.?

    Cheers,

    MBE
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I have tried to order via greasypalm as advised in the original post, but I can't get it show when I put the web address in or just slow cookers....in the search thing i mean.... I am a new MSE so please could someone tell me how to do it. I have just registered on greasypalm specially to do it as I am desperate to get a slow cooker and this offer seems too good to be true. Thanks

Yes you would be able to. It arrives well packed and isn't too heavy so you should manage it. You could always make a handle for it if you have some string/ribbon etc at work?? It looks as good as my MR 6.5l one. I was really surprised!

Preheat it on high for 10 mins. Add any veg etc that you have lying around in, add some stock and leave to cook for abour 4/5 hours on low. That's your first recipe done - veg soup! :D

Also go onto the Indexed Link, click on slow cooker and there are loads of recipes. HTH

Love your style MBE :rotfl: :rotfl:

Here is the link to the slow cooker collection, but it is one of those wondersful bits of kit where you can pretty much make it up as you go along.

    Got your breadmaker yet icon12.gif
