She definitely could and is most welcome to - you'll have to let me know which way you're coming from as I could well be on the way (what with the roads round here like they are!) You could stop off for a cuppa and some cakeThere are loads of kind folk on this thread - that's why we love it here so much!
I'm learning that. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming I feel like I've been here forever and it was only 2 days ago I found you all :rotfl:Deleted_User wrote: »I have a sparkling oven interior

Mudbath, say thanks to your DH for me for his diagnosis and well done on a decision on your mortgage and for the superb delegation of chores to DH! Make sure you're careful. And as for the look around for the cobwebs, I've had a crumpled one hanging from my bedroom ceiling for the last few days. I refuse to remove it. After all - it's somethings' HOME - how can you demolish that?
Pigpen - thanks to you too re the damp - I'm beginning to realise I will need to get a man in for this. And don't fret, there's no electric sockets on that wall! And, I didn't realise there may be issues with a leaky UPVC - as coroborated by Valli....
And Valli - there's no paint flaking off - not yet! And I'm 99.99999% certain I would have noticed a patch that damp when I washed down the walls when I got the new futon (what - a couple of weeks ago? After Christmas and before New Year anyway!) so it's quite sudden.
HomeSpun - well done on your oven door!
OddJob - platonic hugs - the housework will still be there for you to fly with tomorrow!
Boddy - thanks - hope your sneezing etc. sorts itself out real soon! Meant to say earlier in the week - thanks for the report on your retirement plans - you need to make sure your Manager keeps on top of things! What are your shifts this week?
OK, what have I achieved this evening? Not too bad at all. Given I've been persuing the damp subject as well! Just about to get my dinner out - cauliflower cheese tonight and flop in front of the TV for a short while then sleeeeepppp

Didn't feel like doing much today on the flying front
However the place isn't looking too bad. I've been getting back into the habit of drying and putting away the dishes at night so at least I can wipe down the draining board. If I leave them to drain it tends to turn into a conveyor belt of stuff which is never completely cleared away, and the draining board looks really mucky then.
Swept and mopped the kitchen floor after dinner, then decided to mop the hallway and porch too - shame to only use all that hot water on one floor :rotfl:
Just quickly tidied round the lounge then I'm going to bed - but not before doing a quick S&S in the bathroom. I really think I've got the hang of this flying lark - at long last :rotfl:0 -
ETA: Sorry meant to send hugs to Christmasshopper - nightmare and I hope clearing up doesn't take too long and your littlie is ok xx
Thank you Mudbath. On the bright side, DD is feeling much better now she has puked. And I've been forced to make a start on tomorrow's Master Bedroom jobs. The bedding is in the WM. I've patch cleaned the carpet. The duvet is soaking in the bath, and the clothes Mr CS left on the floor have now been puked on so I'm not in any doubt about whether they are clean or dirty. They have been put in a bucket ready to go in the WM when the bedding comes out. I only need to hoover and dust and put the bedding on when it is dry and tomorrow's jobs will be done.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -

ok.. yelled at the boys.. they are having power cables confiscated until they can go to sleep like sensible people and have their room tidied.. it is gross up there and I am simply not having it!!
I have also decided (about 15 seconds ago) we are going to go minimalist... everything is going.. I've had enough.. too much of everything is crippling me, I cannot keep this hovel tidy on my own so if it on the floor and it isn't meant to be we obviously don't need it do we?
First room to be gutted will be.. my bedroom.. it is hideous up there and I can hardly make the children tidy when mine is a skip so room #1 .. my room... shall be started Thursday.. (I'm a college tomorrow) and will be done over the weekend and I WILL have a shelf emptied and I will have rid of the 2 little bedside units and I WILL get rid of the carpet.. if it kills me that thing is going.
Now I have decreed this is what I am going to do I want you all to nag me until I show you photographs to show you it is spotless!!
Before I go to my nest tonight I need to do the following..
uniforms
TD
DW
Prep. stuff for SC
feed cats.. argh.. cat food.. text hubby as I have none..
Oh.. podiatry are sending Tiddles some new insoles as hers have squashed almost flat and are pretty much useless so they are sending the good ones out for her like Moomin has which cost 4 times as much but are so much better!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
