Fairly good kitchen progress. I'd not realised how horrible the floor was - it's looking better now as I decided it was past just being swept and needed mopping as well so it got squeegee mopped all over. Hob is now SPARKLING clean - thanks for putting that on the list Pigpen! Also did the over and grill doors while I was there. Oven thankfully has that lining that you're not meant to clean - anything on it just drops off and base has a big roasting pan in it that goes through the DW occasionally. Units all wiped down and the tiled bits of the walls too.
I managed to get to Ikea at lunchtime and got the final three shelves for the spare room so we're off to put those up in just a minute.Hopefully by the end of this evening I might have a slightly tidier spare room!

ChristmasShopper you remind me of Angel with the golden rules. What's 1?
Soappie I am still inclined to assume a leak, and looking at your window frames if your have a hairline crack, as has been mentioned, it would drop down the bay. If it were damp rising paint would flake off - or it will before long, Mind you if it keeps gushing it will any way. But what do I know? Seriously though your frames don't overhang the wall, so water running down them will go inot the cavity if it can. That reminds me - must find my SatNav.ONE BIG WOHOO............I am dealing with my British Gas Debt that was one of my challenges I set myself. I have managed to set up an agreement to pay £20 a week and that covers both gas and electric debt.
Bother - just lost pages I was going to reply to...but whoever it was - yep you can't post puddycat and spell it with 'ss' it's the first bit - and re feline friends sorry to hear that Mudbath I am a kitty fan...my little girl is 10 next month.
Am sorting a washload for tonight and have just realised how truly mud encrusted Ds's sock and short are so I am soaking them in water to remove some of the mud. Kids.
I have washed almost all the pots but I left my sandwich thing at school because I had lost the will to live TBH - and I couldn't be bothered to go get it from the stafffroom. I will have to borow DDs pink Fairy one IF I haven't thrown it (cos she is too old for it now).
Ah well. Onwards and upwards.

Just when I thought I was making good progress it's all gone horribly wrong.
DD went to bed early because she wasn't feeling well. I said she could sleep in my bed because she prefers it to her own.
Guess who has just puked in my bed. And guess who had blueberries at lunchtime. Looks like I'm not in for such a peaceful night after all.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -
I'll join you a bit late JennyBee, need to tackle the kitchen before I fall asleep on the sofa! Think I'll only manage level 2 though

Where can I buy those sheet things you put at the bottom of the oven to catch the stuff that falls? I really don't want silicon ones as I have silicon baking mats and the smell of cooking silicon makes me feel ill (they're new, only used them twice). Are these mat things a) easy to come buy and b) cheap? I preferably need something I can buy online as I never go shopping!
TY
I used to sell them on ebay! But you can get them in morrisons for a couple of quid I believe. I shall be going there tomorrow for party foodfor Miss A and can pick some up if you like. PM your address and I'll bung it/them in the post
