Hey peeps, I asked my dad to clean the oven at the weekend but as this is my house I dout this will get done at all.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooo I will ask this how on earth do I get a grime and grease soaked oven clean. I did once take the glass out and now the seal is split so can not do this again oops.

Can you really place the grimy disgusting shelves in the bath tub and what pray tell do I bath them with and how much.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help as I may tackle this job myself.

  • Fairly good kitchen progress. I'd not realised how horrible the floor was - it's looking better now as I decided it was past just being swept and needed mopping as well so it got squeegee mopped all over. Hob is now SPARKLING clean - thanks for putting that on the list Pigpen! Also did the over and grill doors while I was there. Oven thankfully has that lining that you're not meant to clean - anything on it just drops off and base has a big roasting pan in it that goes through the DW occasionally. Units all wiped down and the tiled bits of the walls too.

I managed to get to Ikea at lunchtime and got the final three shelves for the spare room so we're off to put those up in just a minute. :D Hopefully by the end of this evening I might have a slightly tidier spare room!

I am definitely getting the hang of this you know. Not quite ready to say I like it yet, but that time may come! I've just tackled the scary pile of filing in the spare room - with us being in chaos in there with the decorating it's been put off and put off - I finally had the space to deal with it this evenhing though and it's scary no longer. begun on decluttering the desk too.... OH is just about to put up the final shelf then that job is also done. Washed up the pans from dinner and loaded DW ready to go on at cheap rate tonight. Also checked our electricity night rate reading after last weeks horrifying increase - still not totally sure what caused it but think it may have been as a result of the storage heaters being turned up higher. Anyway - back to normal this week - thankfully.

Night all - see you tomorrow!
