heather38, I think it was you asking about nappies and how to get rid of stains? I hang mine outside in the sun (sadly lacking at the moment I know!) or add lemon juice to the wash which also helps soften them a little as well.

Anyway, you have just given me the opening I need to post this OSish joke:

I have found inner peace, The way to do this is to finish the things you start.
I looked around this afternoon at the house and saw the things I had started but not finished....
    So I finished them.....
The vodka, the baileys, some red wine, the ice cream, crisps and the valium. You have no idea how peaceful I feel
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

ZLS you are not alone ok?!:D

Thanks hunny love the joke :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: :grouphug: this looks so rude lol.

    Thanks

2Moz is another day as they say and I plan to get a shift on and fly.

  • Well, this week is starting well. Tidied and cleaned the living room including all the drawers and cupboards and understairs cupboard at the weekend. I also did the cooker hood and underneath of the kitchen wall units to finish the kitchen as I'd scrubbed it from top to bottom last weekend and it's still clean and tidy. There's just me in the house so it doesn't get messy or mucky again too quickly and if I can use this thread to keep on top of cleaning then hopefully it never will again. So all I really need to do tonight is the floors :D

I can't get over how clean and tidy my house is since I established a couple of simple routines!!!

Now all I need to do is transfer the concept to work and I'll be super woman, actually maybe I could have a work 'control journal'...how many of you have a 'control journal' a la Flylady? Do you find it helpful?

    So tomorrow I shall

I did manage to fill a bin bag but I do not see the point of cleaning any more when no else cares about the state of the house.
Zoey don't be disillusioned - once the rest of your household see how clean and tidy your house is it will begin to stay that way...having said that men are immune to dust and don't see it:rotfl: That's why you have joined us - because we willl encourage, support and congratulate you...
Sometimes a few kind words or a little joke are what I need to see me through the day until my DD gets home from school. I will miss the chat and I will miss the friendship.
    Now the relavent bit:
    HHI 2.40 - 3.10 anyone?
Don't go hun - think about you every day (see my siggy...) if you go I will have to tell everyone who you are...

Got home to an empty house - no kids  so phoned DDs friend (yes that one - she was there. I thanked copiously;) although she had only gone to play until I was due home and had lost track of time. Very sensible as her brother had gone to his mates, she had forgotten her key and couldn't get in. They are 'latchkey' Mondays...but old enough (I think) to manage until I get home. Ironically I am at school running an after school club.
I have washed up almost all tea things and have just done some HHP...

    Evening list

    Marking (lit)
    Marking (num)
Sort permission slips for sports trip Thurs - DONE
Make dinner for tomorrow MACAW (me - kids have schoolmeals)
    Prep Bag for tomorrow.
    Put aired ironing away
Put ironing board away (it always gets wet when I iron cos I steam it all) DONE
Wash pots, dry and put away

    that'll do for now...
:bdaycake: Heather - have a happy 'rest of' your birthday.
    Rach Thank you x

I put lots in and ended up with a wall of bubbles advancing through the room. Please wait for someone who can tell you how much!

I actually got some soda crystals today so there is hope for the oven shelves.
