Good evening everyone and how have you all been doing in your flying today?

Since my last post I have....
    [strike]
    - done too more washing loads
    - put loads more clothes to dry
    - sent the readings for gas and electricity and sent them off
    - posted two letters
    - phoned up about a new mortgage deal
    - fed the children and myself with yesterday's leftovers
    - done the composting
    - done the recycling

    [/strike]

Not bad for me is it!!

    A few other things to say;

Gsysezz – congratulations on resigning, fancy her making you go into work when you’ve phoned in sick!!

Pollybear – glad to see you’ve painted both sides of the shelf…have you any other shelves to paint?

Flower – I’m glad my tip of the post helped you get ready to go out. Just think…if I’d not posted that tip you might have forgotten your shoes, your coat and your bag!!!

Heather – happy birthday! The ring sounds lovely.

And my tip of the post: Every one get up and pick up 7 things that SHOULDN'T be in the room you're in and FIND A HOME FOR THEM!!!!

ETA - toochoosey - glad you're not leaving - hope the funeral goes as well as it can. Hugs xx
  • Monday - living room/hall/stairs
    Level One
[STRIKE]Declutter the living room , hallway and stairs[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clear and tidy the mantle[/STRIKE] Still ok from clearing the Christmas ornaments off and putting the normal ones back
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Vacuum the cleared floors[/STRIKE] and up the stairs.. under furniture if you can move it safely! Sitting room dining room only in a minute
[STRIKE]Sort through coats and shoes and bag[/STRIKE] in a minute as well
Sort through the drawer or cupboard that you stuff junk in!
    Level Three
Check smoke alarms.. change any batteries that need doing
    Sort the understair cupboard/mess
    Dust the flat surfaces
    Extras
    1. Make an appointment for some ME-time.. go get your hair done, half an hour shopping, coffee with a friend..
    2. Wash the windows in these rooms
    3. wipe all the stairs edges/spindles/handrails etc up the stairs
    4. Wash any soft furnishings that are in need!
However I have also taken a pile of recycling and sorted out our bedroom. Changed the bed, put the bedding in the WM, emptied the suitcases from Christmas (the shame!) and put away the clean clothes mountain. I'll tackle the dusting under the category of dining room tomorrow (LR and DR are one).

Our MACAWs at the moment are to eat dinner at the dining table instead of in front of the tv and then to load the DW after dinner. Dh goes away for 12 days on Friday - so I shall have to ensure I keep this up whilst he's away - on the other hand this will be a good chance to have a good declutter!!

Fly-flo - it's my last WEEK, not my last day. That'll be Friday.
    Welcome back Emily!

    Happy birthday Heather

Reasonable day at work. Horrid drive home in pouring rain.

Am about to tackle Pigpen's list. I also need to do the following:
    • Check when the council are doing christmas tree recycling
    • PM Flyflo with ideas
    • Invoice

So the trick is to always mention a flying thang in the post, aha, I got it.:p

So I truly did hoover the stairs at work today as management won't provide us with a cleaner.

But I'm wrecked because I only got to sleep at 5am and up at 7.30am for work (jetlag). Plus I have awful toothache so went to dentist today as a bit of an emergency as I apparently have a cracked tooth and it's to be removed wednesday.

I won't be able to eat or talk for a while so all offers of kind nursing and cleaning up for me care greatly appreciated.:rotfl: Means I'll be off work that day at least and I only went back today after 3 weeks off on leave.:o

Anyway going to look at some food until it inspires me to make something
    for tea.

    DW x 1

    Coal fire lit.

    Fireplace cleaned and swept.

Zoflora put down sink so smells nice.;)

Had a thought and I really fancy fishcakes for tea. Random but delicious.

  • Hi Everyone

Hope you all had a good day - or should I say productive day!

Well after last week's complete failure (due to having the flu) _pale_ I have managed to start in the LR/DR vacuumed both and kitchen.
moved giant mountain of ironing into bags and placed in hall
    S&S in kitchen
Vast amounts of washing up done
Cats tray emptied, washed and refilled
    hall by back door cleared.
rug in LR end changed around to cover the trench that we currently have in the concrete floor
Coffee table and dining table cleared
waste bins and kitchen bin emptied
recycling done despite DS saying that the big bin is full - managed to get two more bucket fulls in there
manky food in fridge now in the bin outside - fridge smells better now!

the reason for all of this activity - yes you got it I had a visitor - the garden designer no less!! :j

Result of productive day so tired that needed a sleep this afternoon and found that I have bagged and stashed loads to hall by front door or the ultility room - does anyone else do this?

Have come to the conculsion that I have too much stuff - duh! So run out of places to put things but want to build on this during this week as boss apparently does not want me back yet as I might be full of bugs. Have GP appointment tomorrow as need to have thyroid checked as well - think my levels are out of kilter.

    Plans for tonight -
find printer and connection lead - print out DS and DD's thankyou letters
    HHC - ironing
go and get sausage and chips for tea -meat in freezer and have kids have eaten the fridge bare whilst I was ill and not downstairs!
