So much for going to be early last night... finished my book, cut my toenails, eventually fell asleep at the normal time... and overslept as I left my blackberry in the bathroom!
This morning I have put my chicken stuff into pots and bunged it in the freezer, and am currently alternating between work and emptying the DW.
I also need to S&S the kitchen and do some laundry, but work and the gym are the priority today. I just need to do enough flying to keep things manageable while I sort out my routine!
Flower - have pm'd you!0 -
It's old fashioned cleaning fluid stuff. I bought some in Morrisons about 2 years ago (and still have 3/4 a bottle left as I couldn't get on with it
). It's supposed to be super-duper with bells on cleaning. It's bright yellow and has a cartoon drop on the front :rotfl:
Pic here
I tried some a couple of years ago after reading it about it on here. I don't wear marigolds when I'm cleaning and found it very harsh on my skin. I prefer to use vinegar/lemon juice/soda crystals/soap flakes (not necessarily all together)

Morning everyone
Not working today and the boys are at school so plan is to do the dailies, and then do a deep clean on the snug. Usually keep it tidy as it is 'my' living room but it has slowly slipped into chaos over the last few weeks as other people have been using it. Once it is done I will re-impose the 'no one in the snug except me and DH rule' so at least we have one clean place.
Off to my first of many HHC todays - anyone for 9.45-10.15?
toochoosey - I am guessing that Pigpen is pulling us back in before any formal request from the mods. We (the Flylady thread and also the OS dail chat thread) have been asked by the moderators to keep on topic before. It puts Penelope Penguin into a difficult position given that she both contributes to this thread and is a moderator! where do you get soda crystals?
also, any idea on which shops sell stardrops currently?
You can get soda crystals in supermarkets. Stardrops I could only find in our local hardware shop (soda crystals are there too, as are liquid soda crystals which are really good), so check out yours if you have one.0 -
Morning all :hello:
Still my weekend today (I love only being on placement for 3 days midweek). Since I'm not going to be able to successfully fly (well do more than dailies
) for the middle 3 days each week for the next 8 weeks, I've decided to amend my list so I do the downstairs on a Monday, and upstairs on a Friday, with only being in a 2up-2down style house and there only being me and DD this should be much easier
It should also mean that I can free up my evenings to take up my walking after school with DD again and get some study time in spread out over the week instead of massive chunks here and there.
So my list is :
Personal (for the week):- Phonecalls :
- Doctors for appointment next Mon or Fri. I am not attempting an after school one again
- Phone plumber to arrange gas safety check (should have been done before Xmas but I've been too busy):o
- Ebay listings
- Harry Potter swaps to list
- Stuff not currently listed (aiming for 1 a day)
- Dispatch items
- Also to do but ongoing:
- NVQ paperwork
- Knowledge questions for units 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 009, 016
- Explanations for 016 (plan for display, evaluation, removal)
- Type up handwritten work for 002
- Witness testimony for 009
- Timesheet
- OU work
- Block 3 part 1 - entertainment
- Read through TMA03 & CMA42 to see what I Need to do online (not skipping postings this time
I need to get the marks!)
- NVQ paperwork
Level One
[strike]Declutter the living room , hallway and stairs[/strike]
[strike]Clear and tidy the mantle[/strike] I keep it clear as much as possible, only post for Ex, anything that needs posting letter wise (parcels go on the coffeetable or by the frontdoor) and DDs subs go on there
Level Two
Vacuum the cleared floors and up the stairs.. under furniture if you can move it safely!
[strike]Sort through coats and shoes and bag[/strike]
[strike]Sort through the drawer or cupboard that you stuff junk in![/strike] Sorted through one of the drawers yesterday where I keep my stapler and stuff. Much easier to find things in there nowOnly another 4 to do
but I'll do it 1 a week I think.
Level Three
Check smoke alarms.. change any batteries that need doing
Sort the understair cupboard/mess
Dust the flat surfaces
Extras- Make an appointment for some ME-time.. go get your hair done, half an hour shopping, coffee with a friend..
- Wash the windows in these rooms
- wipe all the stairs edges/spindles/handrails etc up the stairs
Level One
[strike]Clear and wipe kitchen worksurfaces[/strike]
Sweep the floor!
Level Two
Mop the floor
Muck out the fridge
Level Three
Empty the under the sink cupboard.. give it a wipe out and put back neatly the things you NEED.. get rid of or rehome the rest!
[strike]S&S over all the unit fronts and appliances![/strike]
Extras- [strike]Wash the windows and sills[/strike]
- Clean out the microwave - seriously thinking of getting rid of it instead. The paint is chipped off under the turntable but not sure how to dispose of it other than ask my dad to take it to the tip
- Fill a binbag with rubbish and get rid! Mini-bag I think as I'm running out of things to throw away!
- Catch up on important phone calls... if you do it now you have time to chase the follow up calls later in the week!
Right, I'm going to sort out the 2 of 4 ebay items that people have got back to me about, then list DD's Harry Potter swaps. Then I'll do a post office run (should be about 10am if not later by then  and hopefully the queue would have gone down as I have 4 recorded delivery things) and make a start on the cleaning. I feel the urge for HHC ... later
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - Phonecalls :
-
I'll join in the 9.45 HHC hex2, will include my shower in it as well though....0

Deleted_User wrote: »Stupid question #2... I love all this thanking people business (how much nicer the real world would be if it was like this!)... but whats it all about? Are the thanks buttons like votes or rarings or something?
Last week there was some kind of challenge to find peoples' unthanked posts and thank them. I'm lazy and never press the thanks button unless I need to 'mark' where I last was:D. I tend to just skim read if there are too many posts or I'm in a hurry so don't have time to thank.0 -
Morning all :hello:
WD on (kitchen toasty from load done last night!)
DW on, complete with oven shelves
Sitting Room tidied from morning chaos
Magazines and newspapers from last week sorted for recycling
Pack ups made, children and cat fed, walked children to school in the icy cold, bullet like rain
Dog food down but refusing to eat it, as she always does on a Monday after having roast leftovers the previous evening, she's in her bed sulking!
Just spoken to nice lady at local farm about a veg box
Before I come back on here, I shall:
[strike] Wash stardrops off oven door[/strike]
[strike]Make OH cooked breakfast (he's off to work at 1 so breakfast about 11)[/strike]
[strike]Re-load WD and DW[/strike]
Write letter to best friend from school - haven't spoken to her in over a year and I miss her a lot
[strike]Dust and Polish sitting room[/strike]
[strike]Finalise Sainsburys order for tomorrow[/strike]
[strike]Read email from farm about veg box [/strike][STRIKE]and sort delivery for Friday[/STRIKE]
Hope everyone having a good morning - good luck to those who need it for whatever reason, thanks to everyone for the cracking advice received, especially about my oven.
