I'd tried this board a few months ago but it was a disaster and I just couldn't do it. I was told I had sever clinical depression in October and I was pushing myself to hard.
Anyway I feel a lot better now and I feel it could be time to join in. I have been doing much more around the house and Its looking OK but I could do with the extra push.
Hears my list for to day
Monday - living room/hall/stairs
Level One
Declutter the living room , hallway and stairs
Clear and tidy the mantle
Level Two
Vacuum the cleared floors and up the stairs.. under furniture if you can move it safely!
Sort through coats and shoes and bag
Sort through the drawer or cupboard that you stuff junk in!
Level Three
Check smoke alarms.. change any batteries that need doing
Sort the understair cupboard/mess
Dust the flat surfaces
Extras- Make an appointment for some ME-time.. go get your hair done, half an hour shopping, coffee with a friend..
- Wash the windows in these rooms
- wipe all the stairs edges/spindles/handrails etc up the stairs
- Wash any soft furnishings that are in need!
Take DS to pediatric appointment
Take DS to beavers
Make tea
S & S bathroom
S&S kitchen
That should be enough to keep me going today.:xmastree: :xmastree:0 -

OS was staying up last night (he'll be working the next 2 nights) and before i went to bed i kind of hinted that should he get bored there is a full d/w ... and i come into the kitchen to an .... empty d/w!!! - baby steps :T
i make it a point now not to just grab some sweets and stuff my mouth with them but take only a certain amount in a bowl to keep a lid on it! yesterday evening i got some biscuits and a wafer bar. i've put the wafer bar back into the cupboard :j
my filing is still uptodate! just putting away as it comes in :T
so, first i'll weight myself and then i'll have some breakfast!
and d/w is ready to be filled0 -
Morning All! I'm back in again this week. Wish I could say house really looked better for having my full attention over the past two weeks (but of course it hasn't - so it doesn't!). Anyhow, quick whizz round for the next hour or so. Need to try to get the small bedroom habitable rather than the storage room this week, so all extra efforts will be diverted there. Have fun!Resolution:

Homespun - I don't use stardrops, but I can tell you that it took me a couple of months to get my oven clean. I just took a layer or two of dirt off each week! I gave it another blitz at NY with soda crystals to cut through the grease, and put the big baking sheet, grill pans and roasting pans that live in it through the DW, as well as scrubbing the shelves. The only bit I haven't done really thoroughly is the little bottom oven, as its too fiddly (although I have taken the grill out and cleaned it! If you do it little and often it'll get clean and stay clean
I read a tip on one of the threads on here ages ago to use ammonia to clean the oven. Just put half a cup of ammonia in the cold oven, leave overnight, and the next day the muck should wipe off quite easily (be careful of the fumes when you open up the oven - eye-watering! I did this when we moved in here when the oven was minging, and it came up all shiny. The racks can be put in a black bin bag, pour in the ammonia (about half a cup) tie up and leave overnight.
Now my oven stays nice and clean now - it doesn't get very dirty because we are vegetarian so don't have nasty fat splatting all over the inside of the oven.0 -
good morning all, dont know where i left my list but i think its just polishing and hoovering for me today, will do that after my toast and cuppa, then its shower, clean car, pick up mother from work.
