:xmastree: Hello all - could I join please?
I followed last week's tasks to see if I could do it - before sort of declaring myself publicly, as it were. The difference it's made just dipping a toe in the water is amazing and I can see that if it's kept up it will gradually get easier and easier too. I don't iron at all, so no expecting me to join you when that's on the list. My clothes are carefully chosen not to need ironing and MrEH does his shirts himself - he says it's safer that way! :rotfl: We're in a two bed flat but with both of us working long days finding time to do it without ruining my whole weekend is tricky. My particular areas to attack this week are the coffee table in the front room, a large pile of magazines also in the front room, and the top of the dressing table, my bedside table and chest of drawers in the bedroom. The hob is also a disgrace - Pigpen could I beg for hob cleaning to be put on the list for kitchen day please to give me the incentive to do it?!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Oh my, dustykitten, how do you stay awake? I have been known to mirror someone else on the other side of the room and see how long it takes them to notice.I refuse to enter a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent:rolleyes:0

Well I'm halfway through changing the sheets - I've got to the hardest part and the bit I hate doing the most - changing the duvet cover!
I'm going to be teaching in a challenging local school tomorrow in Year 6, but luckily only for the morning. Need to try to get a doctor's appointment in the afternoon, and then I'll be back to join in with some HHCs. Had best get this duvet done and then have an early night, as I want to get up early tomorrow so I can wash my hair. I hate washing my hair before I go to bed as I'm always tired and it takes ages to dry my hair as it's long. Plus I end up waking up in the morning looking like I've been electrocuted as it goes frizzy in the night (the toils of having curlyish hair).
Don't stay up too late everyone! You'll need your energy for flying tomorrow.
Night night all,
sexymouse xx

Evening!:D
My new kitchen is just about installed, the chap was here until 45mins ago (he just disappeared without saying goodbye! Bit odd!) There are some bits which need finishing off, but he is going to do that next weekend when he comes to put in a new bath and shower!Yay!:D
The whole kitchen is covered with a fine dust, and will need to be completely cleaned before I can put anything away. And I am so not starting that now!
So tomorrows job will be to clean and put the kitchen back together!0 -
I'm logging off now so night all.
Don't stay up all night chatting will you? I'm struggling to keep up with the thread as it is!

Welcome on board EssexHebridean and I am sorry but i have to chuckle when you write that you "auditioned" yourself before joining! Dont be hard on yourself honey we (well some of us - well ok ME!) I am still useless at the hosework even though i have been here for months and months now. You have the added problem of working and having an OH (sorry no offence meant!) just start slowly and as the weeks go on as you so rightly said yourself it gets easier to do more - we all have good days and terrible days - and yes the idea is to have your weekends as time off not spending it all cleaning - I am not going to post another of my 'official' welcomes as it just gums up the thread but if you havent already read it here is a link to an ealier one
