Oh, EssexHeb and Homespun, I don't iron either. When I was little my mummy told me not to touch the hot iron, and I am still following her directions, because I am a good girl. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • I would like to join again for the 2nd week.

I have enjoyed the first week even though towards the end of the week I didn't get to finish the list.

I had an unexpected visitor this weekend and I was so glad that the Bathroom, Kitchen, hallway stairs and living room was clean when they arrived. This never normally happens and I used to be embrassed to let anyone in. Well not anymore. Thanks to everyone on this thread, it is nice to read everyones post on how they are doing. It keeps me going.

  • Aww what a warm welcome Toots - thanks for that! I am SO disorganised when it comes to housework and this always means that when anyone is coming to visit we end up running around like the proverbial blue posterier'd flies for the few days before desperately cleaning and tidying. I already had decluttering as an ongoing project and I'm trying to see this as an extension of that. :D

    Evening all

Just posting to say hi, and to add that I dont think I will be joining this week sorry but the thread is moving too fast for me to keep up with and with work at the start of the week and study towards the end of the week, I will have time to fly just not to chat and keep up so as the house is looking reasonable due to time spent learning here I need to keep it that way.

Will pop in sometimes just not regularly, so hope all have a good week and hugs and positive vibes for all who need them this week.

    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Rach:bdaycake:

Back again :) I did one load of washing this morning and that dried indoors by tonight so I've just done another load which included my bedding and hung that round the radiators etc. Hopefully it will be nearly dry by morning.

DH has done some painting in the little bedroom. I cooked a roast dinner. This afternoon we went to DD2's for a visit and watched The Horse Whisperer.

Tomorrow I will be on kitchen day. See you then :)

Actually, I've just signed back on to ask this question of those who have a breadmaker...

Am I the only one daft enough, when I take the freshly baked load out, to leave the lid of the machine open so the residual heat helps warm the surroundings?

Bonkers mad I really must be!:rotfl:
