mumoffour77 pleased to hear you are ok, I seen it on the news. Hope your sister is ok, I do however agree with greenbee, stay home, please!
Dusty was it spending time in the garden?
Mudbath you be careful at the allotment!
Kazw my OH is well over 6ft and always gets asked, it's one reason why he hates going shopping :rotfl:

I agree with Crafty, keep safe everyone, it's that old 'don't make unnecessary journeys' one again but seriously, stay safe all! We're east, 10-12 miles ish inland and it's not pleasant.
One day I might be more organised...........

dusty my guess is something to do with family history research?

Glad to hear mumof 4 and vanilla are ok. Please don't take any risks by going out. Pretty windy and wet here so can't imagine it there.

We just watched an Inspector Morse and I'm now zonked and considering bed whilst DH watches motd. After I've surfed the net for a bit...

DH made a fantastic job of the oven considering he only used stardrops and a brillo pad! The door is now see through and the bottom is pretty clean just a couple of burnt on marks (which I think have been there since before we moved in as I've tried them before). If I go to wilkos tomorrow i plan to get some oven pride to try and get those bits off. I've also amended my mealplan according to what I could and couldn't buy today so next week is sorted. Last job before bed is to hang up the towels that have been sitting in the wm a few hours!

ETA I have to often ask taller people to help get me stuff as I'm only 5ft...had to do so today in fact as couldn't reach the cous cous!!

  • Kaz - well done for what you did with the old lady. I am training as a carer for the elderly, and I really wish they all wore an alarm. Sometimes people lie on the floor for hours before they are found if they don't have an alarm! You did a really good thing! :T :T

Hope everyone is at home safe and warm tonight - I'm so glad I'm at home. It so sad about the accidents near you Mumoffour, thinking of you and all the people involved.
Haven't done much flying today, just hung out some washing on the clothes airer, but spent the morning sorting out financial stuff. Have decided to take over the finances and get on top of our debts. Am not going to rest until OH tells me how much he owes! He is so vague about these things, and left to him our debts are just growing and growing. We had a near miss the other week with the electricity bill (had a warning that we were about to be cut off) and I decided I don't want to live like this anymore and I am going to take charge of the money! He can just earn it!
So I feel the day has been well spent, even though the house is a mess!
    Night all, keep safe :A

Rach and Lil_me both very good guesses, you got my second and third things that make me happy and I'm flattered that you know me so well but you are not quite right. Do you fancy another guess?

I've just treated myself to an online sainsbury shop for next week. I've got a £10 off voucher because they were late last time so I'm hoping they will be late again. I still need to meal plan so may need to tweak the order tomorrow.

Just waiting for DW to finish - I've put a bottle of vinegar through the wash spinners and unclogged some paper/tissue stuff that was wrapped in one. I noticed that the tablet from yesterday's rubbish wash was still in the dispenser even though the door had openned. I've made sure the rinse aid and salt are full too. Does anyone use finish powerball things? I use ecover but they are half price at Sainsbury - do they work? Greenbee do you have a dishwasher and if so what do you use?

You win the prize of a day off of flying Toots.

Thanks for thinking of me, no I'm not scared and remember I'm not on my own there are 3 kids and 3 cats in the house. DS1 is 2" bigger than me and probably weighs more now. I've just overcommitted this week and was a bit overwelmed but a good sing along with Dolly and now 2 glasses of cava and I'm fine thanks hun. Hope you are feeling a bit brighter.

Once I've seen the dishwasher results I'm off to set the teasmaid and see how much of todays paper I can read before I zonk out - Only get a paper on a saturday and it takes me all week to read it. That would be fun tomorrow - guess who reads which newspaper!

Here we come again I guess. For the second go, though it's really the sort of thing that should be done between the hours of 9-5 ;)
