Greenbee, would it be worth doing a display one to be sliced/taken home then other non display ones to be sliced and distributed on the day? Or the other way round of course. As for the tiers, what about a different stand http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-TIER-CHROME-PLATED-CORKSCREW-WEDDING-CAKE-STAND_W0QQitemZ120364226279QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUk_Crafts_Cake_Decorating_MJ?hash=item120364226279&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72:1298|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 that company (and many others) do a lot of different options
gtx my friends DD soaked her white jeans with that stuff once, I think she put them in a bucket with a lot of cheap remover then threw the contents of the bucket in the WM.
kazw wow, how worrying. I'd have done the same. Lets all just hope the lady is ok
Dusty I have moody children too, they are arguing over everything
OJK nice of them to drop it off too! What are you going to make in it? I do like your current signature!
Triker ((hugs)) hope you feel less flaky soon
vanilla I'm always suprised how much I have in too!
Lilysue thinking of you and your family

:D so excited because my kleeneze order is here, woooo, gadgets/kitchen stuff. I've eventually managed to get one of those seperator jugs which I have wanted for months!

I've done the shopping and started a list for myself, doesn't include the dailies which I will have to do aswell. I did do a couple of things like filling WM/DW before I left, my list for the weekend (before 5pm Sunday hopefully) I've got a pounding head at the minute so going to have parrots and a lay down (Brainiac on soon so Richard Hammond can babysit for a short while!) I'm working on the list still, adding things as I think as them.

[STRIKE]Put all shopping away and the stuff out of one cupboard I changed the use of
Laundry - wash 3 loads, dry 4 loads [/STRIKE]:rolleyes:always more
Clear any left over junk from LR
    Clear kitchen benches
    Clean kitchen cupboard fronts
Clean fronts of oven, DW, washer and fridgefreezer
    [STRIKE]Clean all oven trays [/STRIKE]
    Clean kitchen floor
[STRIKE]Sort through 4 boxes of stuff which is either for bin or recycling bin (gathered over last few days and abandoned at present) [/STRIKE]
Dining room tidy and clean- [STRIKE]remove junk[/STRIKE], clean floor, clean Woody's tank, dust, vacuum
Hall tidy - sort shoes, put kids shoes back in their rooms, tidy coats, remove excess coats, remove what shouldn't be in there!
    Vacuum stairs and hall
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Soappie weather is defo getting worse here (Northern Ireland), electric been off earlier for a short time. Wind picking up and lots of rain. Candles at the ready.:rotfl:

Right better get and think i'll go to the shop now, only i need a few things i wouldn't be out the door.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.

DH is cleaning the oven, I feel very bad as he's been working all day whilst I've been moping around (amongst other things!). But he says he wants to help out. :) He now seems to be hoovering, I presume not the oven!

Did my HHE, in fact 40 mins. Dinner is to be sorted once DH has finished in the kitchen.

soappie - well done, am interested to know where the planning app is for, pm me if you fancy.

    kazw - well done!

Been to the supermarket, bought a new electric toothbrush as mine doesn't hold its charge anymore and is annoying me! Have put most of the stuff straight into the outside freezer, although I do now need to so some cooking tonight and probably bung some stuff in the sc.

    Thanks hex!

greenbee - i must try the farm shop. Am struglging with shopping at the moment. The woman who made my wedding cake had a book which had portion sizes in, you can probably find online. She also hired tins.

didn't do starbucks, well we went but it was so full of people including several screaming children that we changed our minds. I did the supermarket whilst DH came home to study. Supermarket didn't have all of what I need - I need to work out a way forward with my food shopping, nothign is working at the moment. This is the hardest thing with not working flexibly anymore - I was spoiled cos I used to just go whenever, now it really has to be weekends.

Thanks Rach! As far as the shopping goes, I know what you're up against. I had a deeply unpleasant time in the supermarket (which again, didn't have everything I needed. I now make sure that when I go I stock up on what they DO have, and then try to go to local shops/health food shop/farm shop for bits and pieces in between. Could you get a veg box delivered? I know a lot of the places that do them also have other stuff, and quite often they deliver early in the morning, or will leave it somewhere safe and put a delivery note through the door. A friend who lives in central London gets one from Abel & Cole, and gets some items weekly, some fortnightly and some monthly. If you have a milkman, you can quite often get them to deliver lots of stuff in addition to the milk.

    greenbee need any testers?! :D

... yes... but I don't think it travels well :p First testing will be next weekend, as I'm having friends over to tea and my brother and his fiancee will join us. In fact, it'll be a great excuse to have lots of tea parties this year :j

Toots - well done, you're doing more than you think, and you'll get back on form eventually
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Yes, you are indeed a donut! but a lovely one...;)

I need nagging about my sleeping - trouble is I'm not tired because I've laid in - once I start getting up early and staying up I think it will fall back into place (she says crossing her fingers) but please keep nagging me, I need it...

I'm trying to get my sleeping sorted too Flower... so I'm going to try going to bed half an hour earlier every night for the next week. If I haven't solved the problem by the end of the month (I need to be asleep by midnight to get up for 6am), I'm going to stay up for 36 hours:eek: to do a complete reset!

That's very considerate of you OJ, but as Toots says, you might inspire us (some of us get comptetive you know ;) )

I'm assuming you think the tiers won't hold as in a traditional cake? Why not try an american stand ...like these acrylic ones...
how big portions do they want?

Thanks Valli - I guess I'm going to have to try a few things out  . Including getting them to decide on portion sizes. It's INCREDIBLY sickly - the boys at work love it and freely admit that they keep eating in despite the fact that it makes them feel sick!

Good idea, I'll add it to the list for discussion!

kazw - well done on your quick thinking. Let's hope that someone gets to her and she's sorted out.

soappie - I know cars are out of favour for new developments, but it seems a little on the conservative side. How many bike racks have they got?

Been looking into veg boxes (i used to get riverford for several years) but there's basically nowhere to leave it, we're on the corner of a main road and even the recycling bin lids got nicked!! Not a particularly rough area but just quite obvious i think. I think online for most stuff is the best way forward and then pick up the rest as I can - there's a tesco at canary wharf in the dlr station that has a good selection of meat and fish. I will try the farm shop next weekend. I know i'm not the onyl one in this situation - it's just a shock to the system after a flexible job and a car outside the door! DH's dad does their shopping weekly too and is happy to pick up bits we need but I don't like to take advantage!

Mmmm, bit drastic but might just work!!!
I won't be going to bed early tonight as we are going out to see friends, but I am up early again with hubby when he leaves in the morning (4.30am - he tells me to stay in bed, but once I hear the alarm and I'm up, I'm wide awake, so no point) and might try to make it right through to tomorrow night and go to bed at 10 or 11pm at the latest, but I get SO tired during the day, I physically can't take it, think it might also be boredom and CBA'sdness (??:rotfl: ) I think I will have to stay busy, mmmm, plan is forming....

soappie - I know cars are out of favour for new developments, but it seems a little on the conservative side. How many bike racks have they got?

That's just ridiculous Soappie - Just a thought, but is it because they have underground parking or a roof car park or something and some silly bulger has forgotten those and only put the 10 that are outside on the application???? Our council will not grant applications for flats/appartments unless there is at least 1 space per flat now... can't see them getting that somehow...

OK, back to pile of paperwork... :(
