Also use 1 of the cashback sites to get a further £10-£20 off/rebate, plus if you order online you can print off the pages, and as apart from them changing the deal(phone order).

How do you get a further £10-20 as a rebate?

by using a Cashback site like Quidco

i find it pays more than linemypocket, r points etc.

You can earn £26.50 (e2save), £25.00 (CPW) etc. most retailers available, see website for further details

Does the quidco thing apply to signing up for a monthly contract or is it just for buying a phone?

I was put off the cashback sites really because I brought things through edeals and never got the money, one of the items was about £250 aswell I was really dissapointed in them
    Thanx

  • at our site, what I have noticed is that without exception, retailers will have several 12 months deals free clearance phones, which will be withdrawn as soon as stocks are low or if the deal is "too successful". However they tend to replace the withdrawn deals with other ones the next morning or the day after that. So my answer would be, it shouldn't make a difference, the deal flow is pretty constant.

What I have noticed is a lot of the time they would change a deal to 11 months or 10 months free line rental instead of the initial 12 months free, if this is the handset you are after, and the tariff you need, it might still be worth going for the slightly more expensive deal then buy an handset you don't need just because it’s 12 months free.

By using Quidco you can earn cashback when purchasing items via links on the quidco site

For example Quidco pay £35 when you sign up for a Pay Monthly contract with O2 Online. You get £5 for buying PAYG Handsets from CPW or Orange. You get £25 on Mobileshop.com Contract purchases

Please see quidco.com/mobiles-utilities/ for further details

I over heard a salesman in CPW advising a customer that "All our prices change tomorrow" (01/02). But as he was saying he couldn't guarantee the cost of a phone charger being the same, it may have just been a sales ploy!

I think it is fair to say that, in relation to my original question, there was no discernible flood of offers at the mainstream dealers (unless, of course, I missed them).

in fact it appears that there has been a severe reduction in the quality of the offers, in particular at osps.
i am particularly annoyed at this as the deal i wanted is now more than £100 more expensive
