    ARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

    Halifax are SO fnecking stupid.

I've just had a call from them informing me that they haven't received my payment this month and demanding I pay it now over the phone.

I told them to check their records because my account has been passed on to Blair Oliver and Scott, and the CCCS have paid them this month and I have the statement right here saying so.

The stupid bint on the phone got all flustered and then said I still had to pay Halifax and that just because the debt had been passed on didn't mean I didn't owe Halifax anymore. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

At that point I nearly wet myself laughing, told her if I got anymore phonecalls from Halifax I would report them for harassment as they weren't supposed to have my phone number on their system any more as I had told them to remove it and asked for any contact to be in writing. Then I put the phone down.

I am right aren't I, paying B,O&S means I no longer have to pay the Halifax. I know it sounds like a stupid question but Halifax have been a PITA from word go and I wouldn't put it past them to have some kind of strange clause in their T&C or something and passing it on is just a way of trying to get me to pay them quicker :o:o:o

Thought that would be the case, I just wanted to check JIC they were being sneaky and trying to get a bigger pro rata payment :)

How come they always phone me at a weekend when I can't get in touch with CCCS

Halifax are torture to deal with. They used to call me 20 times a day. Apparently they don't count any unanswered calls as attempted calls. So, if you let it ring out, they'll call and call again until you speak to them even though they are restricted to 3 calls a day.

Even when I told them on Monday I would pay them on the Friday, they phoned 2 or 3 times every day during the week, "So you can pay us on Friday........" then again a few hours later,"There's a note here that you can pay us on the Friday........." and so on.

    Horrid.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

They very rarely contact me as they get a long lecture on their ethics which I am perfectly happy to do as it wastes their money. Its now 6 months since they had a payment when they failed to provide the CCA, they sent a threat of court action a while ago then a letter saying please can you phone to discuss your payment. Two letters not bad sorry they are being a pain to others, their antics when DH could have finished him off. muppets.

(sorry for the long post and thanks if you got this far :o)

You have had plenty of advice on this thread, so I won't repeat what others have said other than:

God, I despise the Halifax more than ever.

If anything, just feel sorry for the poor sods who work for them. Phoning people all day demanding money can't be good for your mental health.
The best way to save money is not to spend it.
