You obviously don't understand, if I make a mistake or misrepresent something I can't walk away from the problem.
Whats wrong with the personal touch?
Utilities warehouse is not a small company, its in the footsie 250.

You misrepresented plenty in your rule breaking post!
And you badly represent uw by making that post!
Would your company be pleased to see you coming here, and cynically using this thread to advertise your link, tell falsehoods about the contract, which etc, and break Which's rules?0 -

Thats all very but you are in breach of the site rules " Don't post links for personal gain. Except in the referrers section.
and your in breach of T-Plus own rules re spamming your site on other websites.
Suggest at least you remove the link.0 -

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I assume you are a new addition to the massed ranks of UW reps and haven't investigated UW's misleading claims; and so your misrepresentations are not intentional
For Gas and Electricity they are very expensive for the vast majority of consumers. If you don't believe that to be true, then go on any comparison website and check. Or go on the other UW thread and you will find that many of the UW reps will admit as much.
The guarantee 'in writing' that you refer to is a masterpiece of misrepresentation. The small print makes it a complete waste of time. Have you read it?
You say you 'can't walk away' from any misrepresentations you make. So if you sign up any of your friends to gas and electricity tariffs that will cost them £hundreds a year more, what do you do?
As for size, UW have a fraction of 1% of the Gas and electricity market so are a very small player.
That they are very profitable, and their shares are doing well, is without question. Their marketing technique is very successful. They have 16,600 or more representatives selling to friends/family or door-knocking and pay peanuts to employ them.0 -

The same could be said of people who pimp British Gas' latest online tariff. Click Energy was in existence approx 2 years and went through 6 incarnations. Of course, the ones remaining on Click 1 tariff (remember, only 2 years ago) are paying more for their gas and electric (certainly on my consumption in the Yorkshire area) than if they transfer to UW. Then of course there are the additional perks with UW which are unlocked with taking further services.
Of course, it could also be said that people who have the knowlede to save their friends loads of money on their fuel bills but choose not to do so (maybe beciase they can't be arsed or maybe because they aren't getting paid) are equally culpable. The sheer numbers of people who remain on their comapny's standard tariffs is testament to my suggestion that their friends with knowledge aren't necessarily passing that on very successfully.
PS Are you seriously suggesting that the vast majority of people in this country would pay £100s more a year by signing up with UW? Behave yourself, as per usual you are getting carried away. The vast majority of people are not like us - they frequently stay on the most expensive tariff their energy supplier has. The fact that a UW rep is incenticised to get them off it and save money is, IMHO, a good thing.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
They promise in writing to be one of the cheapest suppliers of energy but because the big six are allways playing footsie with the prices there may be occassions when they are temporaily not the cheapest.
I have a website which has a tariff guide which is updated by the company
Richard
Just to make it absolutely clear how worthless is this UW promise to be one of the cheapest tariffs, below is some data.
I used energyhelpline comparison network as this is the one recommended by Martin as giving the most accurate results.
I use the UK average consumption of 20,500kWh gas and 3300kWh electricity.
I put down British Gas Standard tariff as this is usually about the most expensive tariff and the one UW uses as a benchmark.
London
BG standard tariff = £1,236
Cheapest tariff = £1,042 saving £194
UW = £1,218 saving £18
UW were in 47th position - there were 46 cheaper tariffs.
Midlands
BG standard tariff = £1,240
Cheapest tariff = £1,057 saving £183
UW = £1,224 saving £16
UW were in 46th position - there were 45 cheaper tariffs.
East Midlands
BG standard tariff = £1,229
Cheapest tariff = £1,043 saving £186
UW = £1,213 saving £16
UW were in 38th position - there were 37 cheaper tariffs.
In fact there were even more tariffs that were cheaper than UW if you count the capped/fixed tariffs.
Wouldn't it be better if you told your friends and family about the 40+ cheaper tariffs rather than persuading them to join UW? I appreciate that you then wouldn't get your commission, and perhaps that means more to you than your friends and family.

UW are totally uncompetitive for most gas and electricity customers - the exception being if you are on an Economy 7 Tariff with a very high percentage of electricity used in the 7 hours night rate.
Cardew stated >>>Well on Gas you pay 18.7% more than you would with Ebico.
On Economy 7 I have already said UW are quite competitive so on your Electricity you 'only' pay about 36% more than BG Web Saver.<<<
My night time electricity use is low. Sticking to your best shot, I have shown that in my own circumstances using the pre payment debit card that I am better off each month with Utility Warehouse. Can't you at least concede that having an account with UW and their "cashback card" may suit some people for gas and electricity?
I am still a Distributor with UW and do not get cheaper utilities than any other customerThe mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.
