Typical spam from a uw rep digging up an old thread!
I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

I have had 2 years of hell dealing with united utilities, their attitude is appalling, with no attempt to admit to errors on their part, just an attitude that " we are right, You are wrong, Tough " When I tried to complain to any regulating body, Surprise, Surprise, they are not registered with them. I have been left in Limbo with a large bill, feeling that I have been ripped off by the school bully.
I have been treated with contempt, Lied to, and left feeling so angry and frustrated That I cannot express my rage. I beg you, beware of this company.0 -

Yes, that is reasonable. You DO NOT want to cancel the internet as this is completely different and more expensive than a MAC transfer.
If you fail to use the MAC in time and do not want to continue with UW then you can demand they cancel it - but that is a bad idea.
And cancelling the phone line instead of waiting for it to be transferred will be even more expensive!0 -
Ofcom regulations say that MAC codes should be issued within 5 days of requesting it so it IS unreasonable of UW to keep you waiting 10 days for it.

Well the MAC code they sent did not work so BT started my internet without it and its working fine
Rang them and they told me that the cancellation date was the date Mac code ended - 18 March and 30 days would start then but went back to speak to the manager and said it could start cancellation period on 16 Feb when I asked them to cancel it
They then sent me a letter asking for the 5 year old modem which doesnt work back over a month after i cancelled the account so i have fished it out if the binNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0
