(And calls to them are via an expensive 0844 number!)

WRONG they have a 0800 number for new customers, please get your facts right before you have a go at people

A 4 sided paper bill costs about 1.8p if you have a laser printer or 11p if you have an inkjet with branded cartridges.

And, Jhp, how can anything costs anything when they all are talking about bundled packages?

I see post 71 still hasn't been replied to (and we have been informed there is now no laptop. So that's nearly fifteen quid extra each and every month Carmine wants to pay for one bill and no contract. And most ISPs only charge 40-£50 to end a contract early.)

I retract by 'bog standard' suggestion, I made a mistake. £44 per month for broadband, line and calls is, in fact, expensive.

    :confused::confused::confused::confused:

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??

Unable to offer a rebuttal so resorting to childishness, I see. If you are confused so easily no wonder UW can bamboozle you with their offers.

I found your post confusing and amusing at the same time. Many apologies. Where does the £44 a month come from?

I have no idea who is correct - although Quentin is rarely wrong on matters UW!!!

However whilst they have an 0800 number for non-customers to call, their website as of today still states:

Existing customers: for help with any aspect of your account or services (except for broadband technical support - click on 'broadband help' above) please contact our UK-based member services team. Call: 0844 815 7777

    Does that mean?

    A. When you have joined you become an existing customer and use the 0844 number?

    B. New customers will be treated more favourably than existing customers?

    C Their website is wrong?

    D. You are wrong?

As you are a customer, can you find out?

My post was intended to help out llywelyn111, (and clearly directed at him with a quote from his post), not have a go at you!

I pointed out he would lose out on cashback if he phoned them, as well as their number being an 0844 number (which it is).

The freephone number you have come across for new customers is not shown on their main site, so presumably you have landed on a rep's site, and the freephone is to the rep.

But whether you use a freephone number or pay for the call, you won't get any cashback if you sign up that way.

To make what i've said clearer,
to join utility warehouse they have a 0800 number, once you join you can choose their bronze membership which you get charged 5p min to phone their 0844 numbers or if you choose silver membership these calls are then free of charge

The freephone number i come across is a direct one to utility warehouse not a distributer, thank you for clarifying your post makes more sense now i've read it again sorry

When anyone goes to their website, they actually land on a rep's page - that rep puts up their own phone number, it can be a mobile number/0800 etc.

Once a customer, then any calls to their cs dept are via the 0844 number.

and to add to that as long as you take out silver membership (costs about £2 a month compared to bronze £1.70ish) all calls to their customer service dept and tech support are free
