  • There were two different film crews and sets of actors in central station when I was there in August
  • I've heard somewhere about the out of town discount shopping places and its $100 per person would it be cheaper to catch a bus or go on the subway?

    Many thanks

There are two centres I know of, Jersey Gardens, and Woodbury common.

Jersey Gardens is served by local transport, but to get to Woodbury Common you need to take a tour or drive if memory services me correctly.

You can book tours through Greyline and it is $42.00 each.

I wouldn't recommend Woodbury Common - you can get decent bargains without leaving NYC. Save your money and spend it on bargains in Century 21 or if you really want to visit an outlet - go to Jersey Gardens.

You may as well buy em over here, i've only ever seen one shop in manhattan which done them and that was a hallmark shop just outside times square, and they were no cheaper and no different to the ones you get in the UK, and add to that the fact the jar ones weigh quite a bit and eat into your baggage allowance.
