Do you mean to book for lunch/dinner, a show, a hotel room? Before anyone else says, basic info needed i.e. what are you after and what's your budget?

I feel an idiot now :( Sorry it was a long day yesterday. I meant for dinner on xmas day! I am assuming that not everywhere will be open and that I will need to book! Just looking for suggestions, as I have looked on the net, but obviously nor in the right places.

Fallenangel, it was a brill few days wish we had longer to see more of NYC,
our baggage claim/ customs check etc was very fast:D extra staff seemed to appear from everywhere, taxi line was right outside the door, being our first trip to nyc, a taxi was most convenient for us but next time we will use the subway, it was fast and cheap( once we sussed the lines/numbers and stations out)

Hope you enjoy your trip :D

Looks fine to me:T not too full imo. I see that you must like your shopping ( Like I do) Are you going up the Empire state early evening? I went up at night last time I went NY and the city looks beautiful all lit up but this time going up TOTR in the day this time. Nice to get a view in the evening and day.

  • Quick question about New Years Eve/Day etc....

Was looking at going around mid-December, but now think we might go for New Year.

Is everything open on NYE and Day? As we will want to shop etc... It will be my 5th or 6th time, so not too worried about the sights!

I arrived on NY day this year and lots of stuff was shut (shops) during the day but open in the evening (resturants) if that helps at all...it was very quiet out and about but it was actually lovely!
  • I've just realised that we'll be there for Veteran's Day. Since it's a federal holiday will everything be closed?
