Hiya All,
Been reading this (and the last thread) for almost 2 weeks now! I'm looking to go to NYC for 5 days with my girlfriend next Feb (3rd - 8th).
Found a trip with Expedia for £1150 (flights & hotel) which looks good to me, my friend in work who's been (and loves the place!) reccommended the Roosevelt Hotel New York to me, and it seems good for the price to me, has anyone else got any opinions of this hotel here?
Cheers
Alidai
It depends what YOU want out of a holiday to NYC.. if you want to be in the thick of it all, and think that midtown is a must, then yes, it probably is a good hotel. If you're going for a holiday where in the evenings, you want to explore great bars and restaurants, there are better areas than around grand central.

I'm getting so excited now, I was booked to stay in the Pennsylvania but after reading many many many bad reviews, we cancelled and are now booked to stay at the Buckingham.
We're also booked to go into the VIP lounge at JFK as we're flying upper class. Anyone been in there? Whats it like??0 -

at JFK you're gonna have some kinda queue, but normally (and i can only say for the delta terminal), that i'm checked in, baggage dropped off, and through security within half an hour..

I've not been to the lounge in JFK but in Heathrow its very nice, plenty of snacks and a good choice of drinks, magazines and papers and comfortable chairs - definitely a great way to start your holiday.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”
